If there's one thing I could have, aside from good health and mad loot, is a couple of rooms of milk crates full of vinyl. I miss going digging, and if I had 1) the disposable income and 2) a DJ setup, I'd go every once in a while. Having a music blog is definitely a good way to obtain music from time to time, but I definitely miss the smell of old vinyl, the joy of finding that cut in the countless stacks of music in your mom & pop. Gone are the endless hours spent at Princeton Record Exchange, in comes the 10s of minutes spent finding the same gems in an expert Google search. In any case, this episode represents a pretty accurate depiction of my Hip-Hop listening: you get the ignorant (Lil' Wayne's "A Milli" - note: if anyone has a full, no DJ copy of the version with Cory Gunz, get at me) to the undiscovered (Praverb's "Original", Elucid's "We Carry On") to the, in my humble opinion, classic (Redman's "Rockafella (Remix)", them's "Crayon sharpener"), among many other gems.
