Here's the video of R. Kelly's "first and last time" speaking on the child pornography accusations, which aired on BET last night (VH1 has a rundown on this interview as well):

In our culture beauty and youth go hand in hand. 19 years old is legal. There shouldn't be such a big problem over this!

The first comment was on point. This is being blow out of context. Dude says he has "19 year old friends and everybody is acting like he said he loves little children. 19 is an ADULT!

don't apologize for that monster, especially when we all know he's had sex and urinated on that 14 year old girl and had it on tape. don't act naive.

What does youth and beauty and our culture have to do with this?? You people are all so so young obviously. You want to believe he's innocent and ya know what he may very well be of what he was charged with, however there is something acutely wrong with a 30 plus year old man’s interest in 19 year old "friends" when he should clearly be doing grown man things and socializing with other grown folks. He's (supposedly) a grown up and sings grown up music, what in the world do you need to be fraternizing with teenagers, especially with his history (Aaliyah, hello!!) Get a Clue Kids

Look let me tell you something the kids are right people in our everyday world have 15,19,16 year old friends yet we do nothing about it um not saying he is right but if ur gonna punish him punish the people around you who do it everyday i hate to fratenize but right is right you people do a lot of half stepping and be so quick to judge somebody, you should worry about if he did it or if he didn't because the only one who can punish him in the end is GOD and nobody but him let him be famous and let him continue to use the voice GOD gave him and stop trying to worry about all the wrong he is doing and worry about the mistakes you have made and try to get ur life right instead of worrying you little ass off about ROBERT SYLVESTER KELLY.

yes, a lot of people have 15, 16, hell, 19 year old friends and they are older. i get that. but two things corrupt your whole way of thinking:

1) not every adult has been charged with child porn, nor has their name been popping up numerous times in child-sex situations

2) its obvious in the interview that robert the molester kelly was trying to make sure he stated an age that is deemed legal around the country. don't try to come off like this is OK or alright or that people are just flying off the handle.

these are kids we're speaking of, and the "pied piper" should be ashamed of himself. it's ok, though, he'll get his.

Khal is a hater. 19 is grown and legal. As usual, the media wants to twist his words around and blow up everything he says out of proportion. Quit bitching over Kellz' 19 year old friends and get some damn business of your own. Don't worry about R. Kelly, he'll be alright. He damn sure ain't worrying about you. I love R. Kelly no matter what, and support him 300%. Time to drop another classic album Kellz, and keep making these haters mad lol. Give em another reason to hate.

1) wtf does a 40+ year old man need to be dealing with 19 year olds in the first place?

2) wtf are we even dwelling on this. it was his ridiculous comment to a serious question, and is pretty insignificant considering the ages of the girls he has been reported to be marrying/fucking/peeing on

3) yeah, i'm a hater. i hate ignorance and pedophilia. thanks for that obvious statement.
