Mr. Scruff Ninja Tuna Mixtape

One of the things I miss about a) having disposable income and b) going record shopping at PREX is the fact that I sometimes miss out on new product from artists I don't normally check for, but love. I'd scour their "electronica" section, where they put everything from Goldie to Coldcut, looking for new shit, and discovering imports or CDs I hadn't noticed when they dropped. That's how I initially discovered Mr. Scruff, and to now hear that his Ninja Tuna album (which features Danny Breaks and Roots Manuva) is out, I'm mad that I had no idea dude was working on new material. In any case, here's a mixtape I just spotted. Dude is a dope DJ, so don't sleep at ALL...

Oh shit Khal. Mr. Scruff is the shit, I been up on dude for some time now (no homo) homie. The "album of the year" statement is too loosely thrown around but Scruff deserves to be in contention. I've been bumping "Music Takes Me Up" featuring Alice Russell from the album heavy.

P.S. You need to check out "Moka Only", dude has a similar style instrumentally & is equally as dope.
