Twestival.fm

Wow; I just posted about the NYC Twestival earlier today, and I guess the organizer of the original LDNtwestival, Renate, somehow happened upon RTD today, and I get an e-mail from her, describing another project she has going on: Twestival.fm. On February 12th, various Twestivals worldwide will be going down, and leading up to this, Twestival.fm has plans to raise an additional $20,000. How? With your music!

Well, sort of. Twestival.fm is asking that artists, musicians and labels that use Twitter contribute music to this project. Twestival.fm and SoundCloud are linking up on this; starting on February 5th, a SoundCloud-powered player will allow heads to stream the donated tracks, through February 19th (they are also powering the dropbox for this organization). In the vein of Radiohead's "pay-what-you wish" effort, anyone wishing to download an unlimited number of the tracks will be asked to donate funds Twestival.fm (via TipJoy). As with anything else involved with the Twestivals, all donations will be given to charity:water. Any interested artists/musicians/labels, hit this post for more details.

For anyone with questions or wanting to get more info, hit up Renate via e-mail or on Twitter.
