I just heard that John Hughes passed away from a heart attack earlier today. If you're younger than a certain age, you might not be up on shit like The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Some Kind Of Wonderful and the mighty Sixteen Candles, but I grew up with a lot of kids who patterned their lives after characters of those movies. I can't count how many times I watched flicks like Uncle Buck, Home Alone, Dutch and Curly Sue on HBO. Damn.Dude's a legend in 80's movies. National Lampoon's Vacation?!!? Come on! I fully expect to see John Hughes marathons over the weekend. VH1? HBO? Get on it!

Wow this is a sad moment, Sixteen candles and Weird Science are classics. His films and MTV were what made the 80's fun for someone like me to growing up in.
I was just posting on my blog about him. He will be missed.
