Here's her words on how this came about: "More recently we were checking out T-Pain's 'Thr33 Rings' Deluxe Edition album and noticed he had used the same sample I did on the original song for his song "Phantom". I bet Joulz Il could re-create T-Pain's rendition of the track and flip it and after that the rest is history."

The Year Of The Blacksmith is definitely upon us; if you guys live out in LA, Idle Warship will be touching down for their first official LA show on January 16th at The Roxy on Sunset.

It looks like Freedom Entertainment (which is ran by Cymarshall Law, Skit Slam and The Beatnickz) are kicking off 2009 right with a mixtape entitled The TWOTHOUSANDANDMINE Mix CD, which will be mixed by DJ G.I. Joe. This tape will feature joints from Cy, Skit Slam, Pacewon, Supastition, El Da Sensei and Swedish Jazz singer Mary Lou. The homey Aubrey hit me with a few of the joints from this release; check them out:

Birdman & Lil' Wayne vs. Luke Envoy "Stuntin' Like My Daddy (DJ Nappy THUGSTEP Refix)": This particular refix is one of the best THUGSTEP jawns DJ Nappy did, and it's also one of the most hated by the "proper" Dubstep community; I believe Luke Envoy himself wasn't feeling this one. In my eyes, this is an anthem, for those who are trying to get those ends, trying to floss their wears, and just rock the dub with a styrofoam cup. Stunt on, fam.
