Ritchcraft Say It Ain't So

Here's a free remix EP from the homey Ritchcraft, who's been passing around some of his remixes over the last six weeks or so. Dude has a real passion for Hip-Hop, and it really shows in his output. Check out some of his work:

If you're feeling any of those, head on over to his Bandcamp page and grab the EP for $free.99.

YC The Cynic "Say Superman": 19 years old and reppin' the Bronx, YC The Cynic has a mixtape on the horizin called You're Welcome. It drops in Jan. 2010, and is presented by none-other than Chaundon. A while ago, he hit me with a track and was like "I have a feelin' you'll feel this"... and he was definitely right. This shit reminds me of the late 80's.

Donwill & Spec Boogie "Sessiondary" (prod. by Thee Funklord): I remember seeing @SpecBoogie talk to @DonWill about dropping by the studio and putting in some work. How crazy is it that not only did they knock this ill track out, but it was produced by my boy @TheeFunklord! Had no idea he was passing out his beats like that - I might have to go back and dig through those jawns.

Daniel Joseph "Decade" (prod. by Snake Eyes): Here's the latest leak from Espee's Gone Fishin' mixtape, which will be available on 12/31/09. The beat on this one is heavy - some intergalactic shit, but it works very well. Joseph really commandeers this one and rides it excellently. Heavy sound all around!

The Force MDs "This Christmas": Yes, the Force MDs are back, with a new album called Traditional Free Style... yeah, I don't know; with producers like K7, George Lamond, Angel Vasquez and Lissette Melendez, it looks like the album might be more FREE STYLE than freestyle. This isn't on that ghetto club shit though - this is an actual remake of the classic "This Christmas", and they definitely still have it. Enjoy.

Eartha Kitt x DJ Cable

Eartha Kitt x DJ Cable "Santa Baby (Bishy Bashy Re-edit)": After last year's Brenda Lee Bmore retwerk, I figured DJ Cable had something slick up his sleeve. But putting "Santa Baby" over the "Unfinished Business" riddim (that Enigmatik and I introduced you to earlier this year in soundclash format)? It's so daft it just might work... and it does! Get your dancehall on to this classic with a twist.

And if you need a Christmas mix for your iPod/party, Cable hooked up a special mix this time last year that I just re-uploaded. Check it out!

No word on when The Big Bane Theory will drop, but keep it locked!

PreZZure "Exhibit Me"

PreZZure "Exhibit Me":Why yes, this is definitely PreZZure adding his furious styles over Jay Electronica's "Exhibit C". That Just Blaze instrumental is too tough to let only one nigga rap on, although I think some of my peers will only tolerate a certain kind of nigga going in. By the power of the Internets, I got this pretty fresh out the oven, literally about an hour ago, and now it's yours. And for the six minutes PreZZ goes in on, this might be my favorite line:

"I love my older brother but my songs ain't on his radar". Too tough.

Revalation ft. M-Dot "Heart of the City": Here's another leak from the Refined Hype x Dot Got It x Rock The Dub presented The Revalation Will Be Televised: Commercial Interruption, which is set to drop on December 31st. From Rev - ""Heart of the City" is obviously done over the classic Jay-Z beat of the same name. In this version I decided to recruit some EMS help and got my homie M-Dot on the track. He kicks off the track reflecting on Boston and the fact that there "Ain't No Love" so to speak in the city at times but he embraces love or hate because it comes with the territory. I continue on the second verse speaking about New Bedford, MA aka Secret City and I go into detail about lack of love and support as well within the city for it's own artists and compare it to the likes of a basketball game with haters sitting on the sideline jealous while I'm starting". Keep it locked!

This is the latest episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Jon Judah for the week of December 15, 2009 with some new and classic Hip-Hop & Soul Music, news and commentary.

Our commentary this week focused on the Golden Globe nominations for the movie Precious and it's possible effect on Black Hollywood and it's images, the stereotype shoe being placed on the other foot with MTV's reality TV show Jersey Shore and some other things here and there.

This week we had a great interview with independent producer, songwriter, guitarist and Hip-Hop MC David E. Beats (http://www.myspace.com/ToneNSwaggahEnt).

Some of the topics we touched based on with the Washington, DC native (now currently living in Brooklyn) was how he became interested in music in general, why he felt the need to move from the DC Metro to NYC to make some extra moves in his career, some of the things he likes and dislikes about the music industry, some upcoming projects and other things!

There is a new episode of Black Agenda Report this week but no new Direct EFX segment (did not receive before broadcast recording time).

Young Money "Streets Is Watchin'"

Young Money "Streets Is Watchin'" (prod. by David Banner): While the beat > the lyrics on this one, I love Weezy's "bitches, get to steppin' like Cole, Gina, Tommy" line. Leaks poppin' up all over, you know? This track > the rest of We Are Young Money > Rebirth.

They wasted the beat, though - Drake shoulda got on this one.

Duece Poppi "It's Kushmas Again"

Duece Poppi ft. Wanda Fey "It's Kushmas Again": OK so when I saw this in my inbox, I was straight up going to dismiss it for the ridiculous image that came with it (see above), and, well, the whole idea of it. Oddly enough, the way they flipped it and interpolated their kush-love to a Christmas tune... I'm not mad. My wife would be, but I'm not.

This is either very genius or very fucking ignorant. It's somewhere in the middle. I just... I don't even know LOL. Shouts to Kristen at Cashmere.

D.Julien "Prove Them Wrong" (prod. by Buzz): It's been a bit since I've gotten some music from D.Ju, but fear not - this fresh cut is what I'm about right now. In his words: "if you've ever been chasing a dream, had a goal and was focused but had negative setbacks and/or negative figures/people signaling that your mission was impossible, then you'll feel this song wholeheartedly.". This is the kind of anthem our people need, not the d-boy dull shit. Prove 'em wrong, folk.

The Roots "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon Sandiwches" EP

I don't watch Jimmy Fallon or much late night TV anymore, but if I did, the fact that The Roots are Fallon's house band would be an instant reason to catch his show nightly. Anyways, this is a collection of "sandwiches", or small sets that The Roots crew plays during various parts of the show. They've amassed something like 1,000 of them since March, and ?uestlove decided to liberate 22 of them into this platter of aural pleasure, if you will. I just threw it on about an hour ago and I am in heaven.
