Djezuz Djonez "Water Walker"

Djezuz Djonez "Water Walker" (prod. by Masada) [clean | dirty]: As you saw with the new video, Dejezuz Djonez is the new movement Trenton's own Wise Intelligent has created to bridge the gap: "with every word that Djezuz relentlessly spits he literally becomes a bridge that takes us from what was, to what is, and delivers us directly into his world of what will be. He is not here to discuss or debate about what real Hip Hop is, because to put it quite bluntly Djezuz Djonez is Hip Hop done fucking right!"; Wise's third album, Wise Intelligent Iz...The UnConKable Djezuz Djonez, is on the way... Djezuz Djonez is the only motherf**king hope that Hip Hop got!less than a minute ago via

Mario Dones "Pastries"

Mario Dones "Pastries" (prod. by Nice Rec): Nigga going ham over some lounge music? Lovin' it! This is taken from One To Grow On, a project dropping mid-August. Nothing too weighty here, just a nigga going ham over some lounge music on a nice day. The Soul Vibe might leak another track, so keep it locked!

The ILLZ's In Between Video Series drops on August 17th.

[video] Blitz The Ambassador "Something To Believe In"

Directed by Terence Nance, the "Something to Believe," addresses the detachment we all battle when faced with the the world’s overwhelming issues. “It’s hard to think about all the problems in the world without getting a little overwhelmed. So, a lot of times we just ignore things. I think Africa has suffered a lot because people choose to remain ignorant, rather than address the issues that are right in front of our faces,” Blitz said.

[video] Skyzoo & Illmind "Frisbees"

Video directed by Derek Pike.

Smokey Robotic "Forever My Love"

Smokey Robotic "Forever My Love": Interesting new project from Illmind alongside Seer, Konrad and Father Dude. They dub their hybrid of Hip-Hop, Pop, Dance, Electro and experimental sounds "Superfuture", and they have a self-titled debut album that drops for free next week. Judging by this first single, it sounds like a weird back-to-the-future 80's Pop vibe, like Freestyle for future thinkers. It's definitely different, and if you are only accustomed to one sound, you will have to put a funnel to your ears to help them open up. Shouts to Dub MD.

FTG "FTW (Big Bulge Music)"

FTG "FTW (Big Bulge Music)": Real Hip-Hop for the win. This cut will not be featured on Who The Flip?, so I'm glad they leaked it out now. Sean matches the controlled fury of the beat with his darts. Great combination, these two.

DJ Franchise - PST Live! At YoshiSF (July 2010)

DJ Franchise hit me with a recent set of his: "A live set recorded at one of the Bay Area's greatest parties, PST Live! at YoshiSF. Resident Sake1 invited me for a guest spot on July 23, 2010. He basically said play "sexy soul, you know what to do" and what you hear is the result. Proud of this mix and the people loved it, too". Nice mixture of tracvks, from Kanye West to Mary J. Blige, with Devin The Dude, Eric Benet, Cameo and others thrown in.

Kelis "Acapella (Manik's More Ghetto Than Guetta Remix)"

Kelis "Acapella (Manik's More Ghetto Than Guetta Remix)": The boy Manik has a pretty hectic schedule with his DJing, so you can't blame dude for having completed remixes sitting on his harddrive. Kelis has been setting the clubs on FIRE with her latest tracks, but I think this re-rub of "Acapella" is necessary.

N.O.R.E. "Nutcracker"

N.O.R.E. "Nutcracker" (prod. by Scoop DeVille): Scoop flips his drums and flips a sample to my favorite PE track from House Party. How was I NOT to like this one!? Apparently Flex just dropped the bombs on this one. NY certified...

Shouts to 57th Ave.

[video] Baked Goods (7/26/2010)

Nina Sky ft. Kidz In The Hall "Only You (Take Me Away)"

Nina Sky ft. Kidz In The Hall "Only You (Take Me Away)": Love the keys on this one. I kind of with Double O didn't throw in all of that extra shit - like seriously, if they just kept that kick and the initial melody? I'd love this track so much more. That's the dubnerd in me speaking, though. Naledge drops a verse on this, too. The Other Side drops on August 3rd via

Dumhi w/ Reef the Lost Cauze "Lions"

Dumhi w/ Reef the Lost Cauze "Lions": If you're smart, you copped Dumhi's The Jungle. If not, fuck you. Philly is runnin' shit, and this project is a great example of that. No nonsense boom bap with some slick samples from the one like Haj. On August 3rd, The Jungle Instrumentals will drop. You hear this beat? This is one of my favs on the album - just has puts you in that zone, nahmean? Too tough.

Jersey Shore: Remedy for a Broken Heart

MustListenTo "Get Down"

MustListenTo "Get Down": MLT's last leak from The Cycle finds him coasting over Nas' "Get Down", and is a narrative story - we won't spell shit out for you, but do know that MLT focused on feeling himself [II]. It also fits into The Cycle's timeline, so its like a story within a story, told by a Jersey rapper over a beat with some James Brown flavorings. Enjoy.

Dutch New York Katrina Flood

After a number of leaks, Dutch New York unleashes his Katrina Flood mixtape, featuring 14 tracks of all original production, with beats from Chemist, DJ Nice, Max Dolla$ and Broadway (of the Dramatikz) and many more, with features from Pistol Da One and Budah Tha Rueger. Bring an umbrella... or a Columbia rain suit.

Soul Khan ft. Marv Won "Thunder In Paradise"

Soul Khan ft. Marv Won "Thunder In Paradise" (prod. by marink): Inbox goodies from the BBAS crew. If you fuck with the Grind Time battle circuit, you know these two cats are NOT to be fucked with. Them linking up over a beat from the homey marink? Microphones melting, booth's too hot. Bass on this was played by DJ Goo, and cuts from DJ Brace. Shouts to J57.

M-Dot ft. EMS "EMS Vs. Mars (WERS 88.9 Freestyle)": Presented by DJ Cashious Clay, this is M-Dot featuring EMS reps Revalation, Strick 9, Kore & Mayhem going for theirs. These cats also on some thievery shit - stealing ambulances! Be on the lookout for a number of videos from M-Dot, including "I'm ILL Russell" and "Remorseless", among the other usual number of projects they have going down.

Breez Evahflowin As He Goes In: The Mixtape

Breez Evahflowin hit the Buck 50 Kutter DJs with something like 45 tracks, and asked them to make a mixtape out of them. In under 60 minutes, the Kutters flipped a pretty ill journey out of the tracks used, and really surprised Breez. This is a prelude to Breez's As He Goes On... album, so get reacquainted with one of the more unsung emcees in the game.

Che Grand "Rock & Roll Pussy (Wizardry)"

Che Grand "Rock & Roll Pussy (Wizardry)": If Grizzly is trying to lose fans with the Fixtape 2 series, he's fucking up. These cuts are coming out at a good pace, and they're dope. This is some garage band (no computer program) feel to it. I'm definitely curious to hear where this is going. Via Meka.

previous Che Grand "The Mood (Jungle Music)"

Heather B "Flyin' High"

Heather B "Flyin' High": Word's been that Heather was working on an album (Open Bar), and apparently this track got passed around a few weeks back. Premier went into the studio and tweaked "Flyin' High", and this is the result. This is like Heather's mission statement; remember before she was on Season 1 of The Real World? How about "All Glocks Down"? Jersey keeps on makin' it...

DJ Hotpoint Presents 140 BPM Vol. 1

DJ Hotpoint drops a doozy of a mixtape here, blending 'nuff dubstep and Grime sounds (and adding the lil' thugstep flavorings atop them), with beats from the likes of 12th Planet, Noah D, Nero, Skream, Rusko, Benga and many more! Judging from his catalog, this is a little different from what he normally drops, but this is straight fire, trust!

[video] BP & ODDS "The Daily"

Zane One "Zane One (L.A. Woman)"

Zane One "Zane One (L.A. Woman)" (prod. by Dert): After being sent the video for this track, I've been all about it. I mean, Dert's the fucking truth on the boards, but it's more the fact that lyrically-skilled female MCs are coming back in style. Eternia, Rah Digga, Jean Grae and more have hit the ground with tracks I'm enamored with over the last year or so. Homegirl Zane spits fire - if you mess with this, go cop her album.

STS Sole Music EP

After trying on a pair of leaks, I hope you like the fit - as STS brings the full Sole Music EP to you today. If you weren't familiar with his output prior to appearing on The Roots' How I Got Over, allow this to be a proper introduction. Throw this on, take a walk, let your foot mold to the shoe. Then take it out and show your friends. Shouts to Honey. Big up to Donwill.

KONCEPT "The Game"

KONCEPT "The Game" (prod. by The Audible Doctor, cuts by DJ Brace): On this punky Brown Bag party, Kon doesn't hold back - I think that beat made him open up his mind like a fresh 40 and pour a bit of the elixir onto the beat, letting the drunk tongue speak his sober mind. 2nd leak off of Playing Life. Shouts to J57.

Excel Cruz "Working Out"

Excel Cruz "Working Out" (prod. by Blake Symphony): Tracks like this, where dude's can bring the humor and the reality about themselves, and make me SEE the scene they are painting? I'll always rep for this. This "shy Asian nerd" just wants to be your friend, but went unnoticed for whatever reason. I went through that a lot in high school... even though I was trying to beat, too. I relate, and therefore look forward to more cuts from Cruz.

Kyle Rapps ft. Donny Goines "Drive Slow Freestyle"

Kyle Rapps ft. Donny Goines "Drive Slow Freestyle": Kyle Rapps (FKA Black Skeptik) linked up with Mr. Goines and beasted over Kanye's "Drive Slow" instrumental. One of my favorite beats, BTW. Not sure when, but Rapps has a project over nothing but Kev Brown beats on the way, and apparently an album produced by Belief? Keep an ear to the ground for those!

The Are & Brokn.Englsh The Are & B.E.

The ARE beats x Brokn.Englsh rhymes? When I first got wind of this project, I knew it'd be serious... and boy is it! How we can get free projects this good, when major labels still put out triscuits is beyond me. If you want music with substance, production that matters and a great project, grab this one. #NJHipHop FTW. Don't believe us? Check the Ruby Hornet First Look on B.E! I'm glad I got this one out there; I'm forever checking my e-mails, and have seen some patterns with e-mail blasts and fake ass managers and press agents, and needed to aim some venom at them and their ways. [video] Wise Intelligent "Water Walker"

I met up with local graffiti artist Leon Rainbow a few weeks back, and he mentioned this video and gave me some insight into how it was made - you see him in a number of the scenes painting a beautiful mural on a wall. Actually, a couple of these scenes were filmed near my hood. ANYWAYS, this is taken from Wise Intelligent's 3rd solo album, Wise Intelligent Iz...The UnConKable Djezuz Djonez. Shit's ferocious, and proves that this Poor Righteous Teacher hasn't lost a step at all. More info via The HereAfter.

Thelonious Martin Dusty Cartridges

The bol Thelonius Martin passed along this tape of 15 throwback beats that he felt the world needed to hear. I don't believe cats like him and others are as young as they say they are. When I was 17, you'd be lucky if I did my homework. These niggas put a lot into this Hip-Hop thing. Oh, and I can't forget New Jersey...

P.SO & 8thW1 ft. Daniel Joseph "Vintage Clothes"

P.SO & 8thW1 ft. Daniel Joseph "Vintage Clothes": Okayplayer got the premiere on this cut from P.SO's Suicide By Jellyfish project. Interesting Paul McCartney sample, and these cats know how to merk it. I don't own any vintage clothes - if I remade this, it'd be called "Wal-mart Clothes".

Keon Supreme SUPREME

Keon Supreme has been leaking material from this album for the last six months or so. In his words, "A lot of you don't know the struggle it was to make this album. I've lost friends, love, money, and family just for to put out this one album and accomplish my dream. I put my HEART into this album and it reflects throughout it. At the end of the day this album was put forth so that we can all unite in changing the world. I want people to see how similar each and everyone of is because I feel once we all realize the fact that we are all pretty much the same we can all then possess some type of unity. In this album you hear my struggles with God, love, and many more topics".

Vainsmith ft. Tyler Woods "Street Life": Last week, Vain was "Holding You Down", now she's tackling Styles P's latest tale of the hood. In her words: "I was inspired when I heard the original song by Styles P Ft. Tyler Woods. Ive always been inspired by his music even when he was with the LOX.
