Another gem from Songs To Make Up To, which drops on June 12.

The Juan Epstein Q&A Episode

Ciph and Rosenberg spent 70 minutes answering questions from their Patreon supporters. Feels like a good ol' classic Juan Ep.

Karma Rivera - "Same BS"

I don't know Karma from a can of paint, but I got sent this saying it'd be a "banger" and I'm not mad at it.

Gensu Dean - Algorhythms

Gensu Dean's a producer who has a dope resume, featuring production work for Brand Nubian, Large Professor, David Banner, Planet Asia, and more. To prep the world for his forthcoming heat, he dropped off this sick 25-track album. Fucks with it.

Tone Liv & DJ Priority - "99 Live"

Sincerely Yours - "Everything I Love"

Something to blast when you want to big up everything you love. Taken from Sincerely Yours' forthcoming Good Intentions.

Ghostface Killah - "Fish (Walmer 120 BPM Instrumental Edit)"

One of the good homies WALMER CONVENIENCE cooked up this special edit for Memorial Day. Well, he's Canadian, so he sorted it out for Monday, but if you're a DJ with a gig tonight trying to bridge the hip-hop/dance gap, it's yourz!

Lyle Horowitz - Red Lagoon

Lyle never stops. Here he is with more experimental instrumentals.

Greg Grease - "Work Song"

Something to think on.

SB - "Humble"

SB's back with a new project, #TheUpperHand, and recently dropped off this Andre Jackson-produced single. He says that he "took inspiration from personal experience and observation in describing what I feel is the right attitude to have in building a vision and achieving one's goals within a society that's become more obsessed with outward appearances, empty boasts, and self-glorification with very little substance to truly offer underneath the pomp and pageantry." Truer words...

Trippy Turtle ft. Chance The Rapper - "A Good Ass Turtle"

For International Turtle Day, Trippy Turtle gave away his collaboration with Chance The Rapper. Sounds crazy, but it's a banger... for a good cause. If you fux with turtles, hit up fofofadi.com and donate to Save The Turtles.

UZ Returns With The Latest Edition Of His "Trap Shit" Series

This might be one of the illest Memorial Day Weekends so far, and shit really hasn't even begun to turn up. The trap enigma known as UZ is back with the 22nd edition of his "Trap Shit" series. You have to love how he throws in a nod to the Jersey club sound midway. He also snagged remixes from Astronomar, Twine, and Craze. You can snag the four-track EP down below.

LilGenerous Runs Through "The Anthems" On This New INTERLUDE Set

For a while, whenever the TEKLIFE got down, you heard a number of these cuts in the mix. A lot of that was right around the time Rashad passed; it hit the crew so hard, you heard them drifting into so many of his recent lush bangers. I haven't heard a set that combined so many of these gems in one spot in a minute, and would recommend this for people who wanted to know where Rashad was coming from in the year or so before his passing.

DJA Dropped A Sick Mix For Loot Crate

Read more » | No Comments »

Heads in the know rock with Derek "DJA" Allen. He's been an integral part of the Mad Decent camp for years, as well as gaining credits on projects from Major Lazer, M.I.A., Robyn, Lil Wayne, and others. His latest mix was sorted out for Loot Crate, and he goes ham on the selection. We're talking banging hip-hop, fierce club-ready jams, and oh so much more. Another one of those "get right for Memorial Day" sets.

Black Collar Biz ft. Jovie and Rell Gambino - "Cold Nega"

Black Collar Biz links with a few of the homies to expound on how cold they really are. If YOU'RE cold, and love hearing shit like this, why not vote for Biz to hit A3C this year?!

Aaliyah vs. Outkast - "One In A SpottieOttieDopaliscious (Dixon Brothers Edit)"

Holiday weekends are made for fire blends. This Aaliyah x Outkast jawn just hit and it has me OPEN. Smooth, backyard chill vibes courtesy of Dixon Brothers.

Oneman Gears Up For His Summer 2015 Tour With A New Mix

That thing on where one of my favorite DJs isn't hitting the States this summer, but I still need to hit you with his new mixtape. While this isn't a "Solitaire" mix, Oneman's still on his genre-blending mode. This is the kind of tape that's perfect for any kind of turn up you have going on this summer, trust. Featuring new material from Four Tet x Champion, Spyro, and Jacques Greene, this set will satisfy the ravers and the hip-hop heads. Get your holiday weekend kicked off the right way.

Sicko Mobb ft. Sinjin Hawke & Drippin - "How We Rock"

Anything with Sinjin Hawke on it is an automatic snag. I'm not up on Sicko Mobb but apparently this Chicago-based duo put out a new mixtape, Mulah, out via Red Bull. This is a No DJ version, though, so turn up.

Kid Capri on Juan Epstein

Kid Capri was always one of my favorite DJs, and it's dope that Ciph and Rosenberg's latest is with the don.

Man oh man. Nearly two hours with the greatest party DJ of all time. This goes so deep and so nerdy and so much DJ talk and so much behind the scenes. This is what happens when you have two lifelong DJs interview one of the best DJs on Earth. We also talk about Ciph and my recent solo adventures and spend a few minutes on the Chinx tragedy.

Jammz - "Final Warning"

Last year, I got hype off of this Ginuwine / Aaliyah-sampling cut by Finn, "Keep Callin'," which dropped via Local Action. It was just one of those hypnotic, infectious UKG cuts that kept me open. Not too long after, Fallow's "Keep Ballin'" mix of the tune added so much fuel to the fire, and now it looks like Local Action got Jammz, an MC I'm quickly starting to feel, adds some ferocious bars to Fallow's version. He keeps things on topic, but blows the entire back out of the cut.

If you dig this, hear what he did to the Spooky-produced "128 Bars," taken from Jammz's Hit Then Run EP:

Skrewtape - "Verified"

Skrew out here making movies!

Mono/Poly Just Hooked Up Your Summer 2015 Soundtrack

Mono/Poly is my kind of producer. Dude has the blessing of Flying Lotus, putting out a sick album on Brainfeeder last year. He knows how to blend the freakier side of electronic music with obvious hip-hop and funk influences, breaking down barriers and putting together wild soundscapes. His latest treat is going to be one of my favorite mixes of 2015; he blends all of that into one awe-inspiring collection of tracks that spans everyone from Thundercat to Rick James, with some intoxicating dancehall vibes thrown in for good measure. No download (or tracklist), but just trust me on this.

Pugs Atomz - "Nouveau Casino" EP

Pugs Atomz used a 12-year-old experience as the basis of this new EP:

The first show I ever did in France was in Paris at the Nouveau Casino back in 2003. I had no Idea what to expect as kid from Englewood, my friend Thaione Davis had invited me for the trip. You always imagine the best case and worst case scenarios as a independent artist pushing your music. I was left in disbelief, they gave us 45 minutes with a sold out crowd to do what we do best, and from that moment I found myself stronger and ready for anything. In this EP I wanted to capture those feelings of excitement, discovering new people and new places.

El Da Sensei ft. DJ Devastate & J57 - "Show Stoppa (J57 Remix)"

J57 is super consistent, especially when it comes to his remix work. It's been a year since Coalmine dropped their Unearthed compilation, so they let J go in and remix one of the fire bangers from the release.

Physical Graffiti - "The Funky Hudson One"

This one is for all of my Jersey heads. Been a minute since I've heard something from Physical Graffiti, and she does NOT disappoint.

Drake - "Know Yourself (Roska Edit)"

We're a couple of weeks removed since Roska dropped his "King Kunta" edit, so it was time for him to run through the 6 with his woes on this bouncy take on "Know Yourself." I didn't think I'd dig it, and I imagine some of you won't, but I fucked with it. Sue me.

Ezrakh Soundtracked Your Pre-Game With His #Blackout Mix

Sixty-three minutes of you needing to get ready for the turn up. Trust.

Michael Christmas ft. Royal - "Home"

Spent the last few years digging both of these artists separately; kind of ill to see them linking up. Royal's a dope producer (and vocalist), and Michael Christmas is a rapper I feel (who just happens to have the illest name ever).

Yonas Michael - "South Pacific"

Yonas Michael—FKA Y-O from U-N-I—is set to drop his debut album, Black Swan Theory, in June. Following up from his first single "Blessed," "South Pacific" is a lush, summer breezy cut dedicated to the underdogs who made it.

Francis Chiser Wants to Know Why You'd Pay For A TIDAL "B-Sides" Concert

Fuck paying all that loot per month to get a show that might not even be as dope as this tape Francis Chiser put together.

Agallah ft. Ras Kass - "Rolling Stoned"

We already brought you the track; kind of dope that these two linked up for a video.

Watch Earl Sweatshirt Perform With BADBADNOTGOOD On 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'

Read more » | No Comments »

Not sure what's funnier, hearing Earl making TV edits of his tracks or trying to figure out what a Jimmy Kimmel Live crowd is thinking during this kind of performance. Earl's album is STILL my shit, so hearing these live recreations is the truth. BADBADNOTGOOD flipping the end of "Grief," though?!?! Amazing.

Venomous2000 - "Will Power"

Read more » | No Comments »

With all of the nonsense, Debbie Downer rap tracks out there, it's always good to hear new material from Venomous2000, a Jersey representer who's kicking ballistics, science, and English over some throwback flavors. Linking with Alex KidOne (on the beats) and DJ End K (on the cuts), this is something to get your mind working, your feet moving, and your soul motivated. Cop the single today, and check the official video below.

Slot-A ft. Chuuwee & Gerald Walker - "CSFWU"

I assume many of you have had someone you couldn't stop fucking with... this new one from Slot-A and company is for you.

Juan Epstein Remembers Patrice O'Neal

This is so necessary: "True Juan Ep heads know and love the talents of the late great Patrice O’Neal. His lady, Von Deacarlo, came by to talk about her Indiegogo campaign to make the Patrice documentary and so much more about her relationship with our old pal. Enjoy! RIP Patrice!"

Pugs Atomz ft. Wes Restless - "Fire Burnin'"

This is a bouncy number with a message. Pugs says that he "wrote this song while I was in London during the riots there, reflecting on my fathers time as an activist, and the state of events in the States." Fires are burning all over.

Mario Dones - "At The End"

Anytime anyone rips this sample, I go ham.

MaLLy - “Say My Peace”

This shit is kind of moody and brooding. AKA "just what I needed." This is the first release from MaLLy since The Colors of Black. If this is your introduction to homey, you're welcome.

Legit ft. theMIND - "Pluto Nash (B-Side)"

If you fucked with Legit's Through The Night EP, this is the continuation of that release's "Pluto Nash." The loop on this is my shit; so glad this happened. Shit, if you can't get enough of that flip, peep Mala's "Alicia."

M-Dot ft. EMS - "Today"

This is the kind of shit that had me freaking when I was a yout. EMS keeps it pushing.

Gunplay ft. Rick Ross - "Aiight (Darq E Freaker Remix)"

You have to love that the sounds we were championing years back are now getting official looks. Saturday night turnup right chea. And if you rock with this, get a little more UK with Darq E Freaker's "Gully."

Small Pro's on his jazz shit this go round. You might need to do the knowledge on his Jawns series as well.

Sean Price - "S.E.A.N"

Organ-flipping banger from Sean Price's next mixtape, Songs In The Key Of Price. If you fuck with Beanie Sigel, this should sound familiar.

DJ Sliink Stays Reppin' Jersey

Read more » | No Comments »

In a similar vein to grime, people love talking Jersey club... until it's time to talk about it. DJ Sliink, who recently signed with Skrillex's OWSLA imprint, has been doing the damn thing over the last few years, and his new In Session mix for Mixmag is proof positive that he's on the cusp of doing even bigger things. That blend of hip-hop and R&B in his frantic rhythms are so cherry, as is the intro.

Jme ft. Giggs - "Man Don't Care

That thing where everyone's talking about grime but no one's really talking about grime. That new Jme album has some joints on it. Case in point, the Giggs-assisted "Man Don't Care." Check it out up above.

DJ Earl Steps Up For The Lexdray City Series

With many celebrating one year since we lost DJ Rashad last week, I was taken back to his mix with DJ Spinn for Lexdray's City Series (if you haven't rocked with it, it's the PERFECT example of hip-hop and dance music intersecting). This week, DJ Earl steps up to bring us up to date with what he's fucking with, gracing the same City Series with his latest mix. Fucks with it.
