Life After Death: Download These Tributes to The Notorious B.I.G.

While it's customary that we at rockthedub pay tribute to The Notorious B.I.G.'s legacy by sharing this now-nine-year-old mix that we did, today is a bit different; today marks the 20th anniversary of his death. It's a big one, and should be recognized properly.

That said, check out some of these tribute songs, mixtapes, and more to the memory of one of the greatest to ever do it. Rest in peace, Biggie.

The homey Mega Ran linked with producers DN3 and Fresh Kils to flip some of the classic samples Biggie used on his tracks for this 11-track tribute. Stream it below, then either cop it via iTunes or grab it for free via Bandcamp.

DJ Wreck, aka "The Most Hated DJ," put together a 25-track mix CD paying tribute to Biggie. It features standards, some demos and reference tracks, as well as some cuts with new production from Wreck, among others. You can grab this bad boy (pun intended?) via Dropbox.

Supreme curator J. Period has been dropping Biggie-themed remix projects to celebrate his legacy, blending the dark and lighter sides of Big's catalog, and today dropped the third volume of his #March9Trilogy. This 20th-anniversary pack features 20 reimagined Biggie tracks for the club, radio, and your solo dolo listening. You can grab them via J. Period's website, where you can also listen to his previous mixes.

And while you can't download these, shouts to Tim Westwood for sharing this recording of Biggie, Craig Mack, and Diddy freestyling back in 1995.
