Junclassic "Best Around"
Junclassic "Best Around" (prod. by DJ Husky): So DubMD hit me up the other day (after the leak of "Mama Used To Say"), thanking me for the support, but also telling me that Southside's Savior (which is now dropping on July 20th) contained some ill shit. I knew it did from the first two leaks, but NEVER was I expected to be transported back to the 80s via Husky's expert flippin' of this classic movie theme song. Jun throws on the headband, hits the pose and kicks this shit into the stratosphere. Get amped to this!
Excess Bangers 34: Flow So OXY!!!
Rest in peace, Billy Mays. Highbrid Nation got you.

Versis "Take 5"
Versis "Take 5" (prod. by Lucid): Just yesterday, I posted a leak from Versis' forthcoming Synergy EP, which drops tomorrow, July 11th, and got served up with ANOTHER leak, backed with another tune produced by fLako. Now this one is a nice contrast to "Watchout!", and I KNOW you should be familiar with that sample. Throw this one on for those late-night rides through the city streets this summer. Dude has that talent... props to Unherd for these!
Bonus Beats Versis "Yeah Yeah Yeah" (prod. by fLako)

EMS x RTD: ThrowBack Thursday 010
M-Dot & Mayhem "Roll Thru": Another Thursday, and the EMS ThrowBacks are still, ahem, rollin' through. Here's a certified summer banger from two of EMS' finest. If you're in Boston tonight, these guys will be reppin' at Blaq Poet's release party at Harper's Ferry.
KRS-One & Buckshot Survival Skills Cover
Album is in stores September 15th. Production from Havoc, 9th Wonder, Black Milk, Illmind, Coptic, Moss, Nottz, Marco Polo, and Khrysis, with features from Mary J. Blige, Slug, K’NAAN, Talib Kweli, Immortal Technique, Melanie Fiona, Naledge, Sean Price, Geo, Smif N Wessun and Rock.
Did you miss the "Robot" video?
Shouts to MAC Media, as per usual.
Jordin Sparks "SOS (Let The Music Play)"
Jordin Sparks "SOS (Let The Music Play)": YK2 Daily thinks Jordin is delving into her Pop side, but really she's just exploring that Freestyle sound, flippin' Shannon's "Let The Music Play" for 2K9. And while this isn't my particular sound, this isn't that far-fetched, if you listen to what artists like Lady GaGa or Nina Sky have been doing as of late.
Jordin's Battlefield LP drops July 21st.

This is the latest episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Jon Judah for the week of July 8, 2009 with some new and classic Hip-Hop & Soul Music, news and commentary.
Our commentary this week focused on the impact on public funeral service, recent media coverage and lessons that could be learned from the passing of music legend Michael Jackson (R.I.P.), the utter lack of media coverage of the arrest of a non-profit humanitarian organization members (including former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney) during a humanitarian mission to Gaza by the Isreali government during the 4th of July weekend and some other things here and there.
This week we do have new Black Agenda Report segment. The Direct EFX segments will return at the end of the HBCU's college summer break period in September.
Feel free to check out some recent episodes of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast here on BlackRadioIsBack.com - all of the shows are clean/radio friendly.

Articulate "I Know"
Articulate "I Know" (prod. by Rickie Jacobs): Artic is one of the more consistent artists I have the pleasure of dealing with from time to time. Its as if I don't even have to worry - I know its going to be dope, whatever the track is. This cut is featured on MusicOnPlay.net's MusicOnPlay Vol. 1: The Bailout mixtape, which is hosted by Byrdgang's NOE and DJ Seiko. Grab this, then grab that.
Versis ft. Lucid "Watchout!"
Versis ft. Lucid "Watchout!": Here's the leak from Versis' Synergy EP, which drops Saturday, July 11th. All 7 tracks are produced by Lucid, and this is the only track with a feature. Tracks like this, with those leading horns, are what I'm about. Real empowering.
Bonus Beats Versis "Spittin' In The Wind (Remix)" (prod. by fLako)
Rukus "Fame (MJ Why)"
Rukus "Fame (MJ Why)": Wow... Ruk flipped the chorus to one of my favorite Jackson 5 tracks to pain the following picture... "This is not an "MJ Tribute". This is a reality check of sorts...its more of a general question to all artists...why do we fall in love with fame? The same fame that leaves people used up and willing to do anything to get it back when its gone...? Young Mike Jack is on the hook telling Fame..."I Don't Know Why I Love You"...it just seems appropriate because it seems the very fame he earned and was committed to keeping is what made his life so miserable at times...and he knew it. We knew it. And yet here I am making a song about "her" (Fame). R.I.P MJ." THAT'S what I call "real talk".
Maxwell's Secret NYC Show (7/08/2009)
Shouts to everyone who entered the contest I put on yesterday to win guestlist spots to this intimate affair last night. The homegirl @GdUpSwag told me Maxwell went in, and from the looks of this article (and pictures), it sounds like the man still has it. I'm also hearing that BLACKsummer'snight is poised to have sold 300K in its first week, with a #1 Billboard debut!? Welcome back, Max!
Danny! "Manic At The Disco"
Danny! "Manic At The Disco": Shouts to Danny Swain for flinging over this leak from his forthcoming Definitive Jux album, Where Is Danny?, which is supposed to drop this month? Some interesting things going on in that beat, from flowing swings and funky bass being thrown against some ill synth noodling and tight drums. Damn, is the whole album jumping off like this!?
