The Observation Deck (20th Nov. 2007)

  • Jordin Sparks' debut album is out today, and people are ALREADY asking if homegirl will be "the next Carrie Underwood". Let the girl find her lane and do her numbers (my opinion? she will make loot but I doubt she will be winning awards like THAT); on an entirely different subject, I like seeing curvy, full-figured teens on that level. Great to see that not all singers have to be fucking Aly & AJ.
  • Donald Trump's Celebrity Apprentice premieres on Jan. 3rd, and will feature cats like Gene Simmons, Vincent Pastore, Omarosa, Lennox Lewis and Stephen Baldwin, among others. I'll give it a few episodes, but this is NOT the direction this show should be going in...
  • I would only consider buying an AT&T/Napster cellphone if I could use it like I used Napster... back in 2000.
  • Speaking of new tech, who's going to cop that Amazon "Kindle" for me? Did you see the prices to subscribe to newspapers and shit? I mean, $.99 for a blog? I wonder if I could get some ends off that...
  • Sports Nigga Jail News: Michael Vick surrendered a few weeks early, hoping they are gonna chop his sentence (not gonna happen), and Mike Tyson has to do one day in a spot that makes you wear pink underwear.
  • While I think it's damn cool that the Internet show "quarterlife" just got picked up to be shown on NBC, is this how its going to be? Can there NOT be any "Internet-only" shows? Or will each gem be plucked to the majors?

Lemme stop and get some work done...
