Tanya Morgan "For Real"

Been waiting for this one; this is taken from Rubber Souls, the long-awaited Tanya Morgan/6th Sense project that's due out this Summer. Thing of beauty right here, trust and believe. Produced by 6th Sense, (duh).

Rob Jay - Motivational Mondays

Rob Jay is more than just "that dope rapper that be spitting with Hollywood FLOSS sometimes." He's a grown-ass man who tries to teach you some things. About nine months ago he started using his YouTube page as a tool to highlight the other sides of an artist, be it marathon studio sessions or just detailing the crazy conversations rappers have. He also started up a "Motivational Monday" series, where he essentially gives people tool to help better themselves. From the concepts of "letting people in" and "getting by giving" to being active, prepared, and focusing on yourself, he's slid some tools out there that many of you might be able to enjoy.

While you may not have time to watch all of the videos, you do have time to listen. Here's a free download of 15 Motivational Mondays in MP3 format. Take these jewels and apply them to your lives, see where you may end up.

DJ Wonder presents AnimalStatus EP16 (2/20/2013)

This week's episode is a doozy; Wonder brought out the "Harlem Shake" remixes early, and even dropped his remix of a RTD favorite, Nice & Smooth's "Hip Hop Junkies." SAY WORD!

DJ Wonder presents AnimalStatus EP15 (2/13/2013)

Sorry for the delay; this was sitting on my HD for a minute and I didn't get around to uploading. No flavor being wasted, as DJ Wonder managed to still go ham. He dropped one of my personal favorites, his cut "Trap Check," along with a slew of hip-hop tracks. Fucks with this one before you do anything else today, save brushing your teeth.

The Combat Jack Show: Mona Scott-Young

The Combat Jack Show: The Lost Audio

This is all of the stuff that happened outside of the Star & Bucwild interview, including a phone call with Premium Pete about that interview, Dallas speaking to the Africans, and a pair of Benhameen mixes.

My Interview with Zedd

It's no secret that I work for Complex, but rarely does my job actually involve writing for Complex.com. I recently got a chance to interview Zedd, and while I wasn't the biggest fan of his work, in researching him, I got a better understanding and appreciation for what he does. We spoke for a bit, charting his course from a piano-playing youth to one of the biggest EDM artists currently doing it.

It got posted on Complex Music today. I smiled. Check out "Who Is Zedd?"

Emcee Jermaine "Witness" (Maxi-Single)

I hate when I'm busy and forget when my people drop heat. Jermaine definitely told me about this, even sent the tracks early, but without a reminder/link when the shit is out, I'm worthless. So, my bad. I'm busy, but my bad.

This is like the first proper new Jermaine release since Jermaine's EP, and it feels like a warm Sunday afternoon. Don't know if it's the beats or the knowledge, but it's always great to hear the man dropping dope lyrics over throwback sounds. Someone really needs to put dude on. Shouts to Q and The Mad Bloggers for premiering this.

The Combat Jack Show: Star & Bucwild

Via TheCombatJackShow: "Star and Buc Wild. Couldn’t control these cats, even with Dallas Penn on deck. In a rare interview, Star shared his past, how he was an actual street pimp in New York City in the early 1980′s, how he went to war with a handgun against a Dominican chick armed with and uzi and got sprayed up, his cocaine and mescaline fueled days, how he pimped MTV, Hot 97 and Power 105, why he has no issue with Big Tigger, how he’s never been impressed with Howard Stern, his love for DJ Vlad, what his hate is really about, how he doesn’t know who the fuck Just Blaze is, how someone who doesn’t fux with Hip Hop became a Hip Hop icon and more. This was too much. Dig in my cousin."

Soul Khan "Iron Galaxy Freestyle"

Khan definitely just merked Cannibal Ox's "Iron Galaxy." Cuts by DJ Brace. My Lord, now I have to dig up that album.

[video] Tyler, the Creator "Domo 23"

Always knew Domo loves rasslin'. Can't wait for Wolf.

I don't know either, but Donwill says he'll explain later. Enjoy it now, though.
