Twestivals are a cool idea. Heads on Twitter, for some reason, like to meet and greet off the PC. On February 12th, 2009, 175+ cities around the US are going to be holding "Twestivals", which will be evenings to give you joy as well as raise awareness for charity:water. Now, these are 100% volunteer organized events, and 100% of the proceeds go to charity:water, so really, what more can you ask for?NYC's Twestival is a go, and is only $20 for a great night out, for a great cause - they are working on something they call "20/20 vision", where you cop a ticket for $20, and raise $20 for charity:water. Even in these recession-racked times, that's pretty cheap for a great cause; also offered are $100 VIP seats, which include table seating and complimentary champagne. This event will be going down at M:2 (fka Mansion/Crobar). They also announced yesterday that their headlining act are none other than Eclectic Method, who are hot on the heels of their recent performance at NYC WTF.
