Soulbrotha "Way of Love (Never out of Season)"

I said I was gonna drop the "Great Expectations" track a few weeks aback. Pardon my busy life. SB and BroadNMarket have cooked up some fly shit, and this "Way of Love" jawn is right up my alley. SB says he went through some trials and tribulations a few years back, and is creating music inspired by The XX, to help those in similar struggles to know that there's, essentially, a light at the end of the tunnel, a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and whatever other cliches help you cope. Realistically, you need to escape every now and again, and the themes SB flips help you pull from your own problems and hopefully find solutions through them. Over some bangin' beats, which is always nice. The Southpaw EP is on the way.

The Accomplices ft. Malicious "Drop"

We already introduced you to The Accomplices, aka The Jake & BroadNMarket, who are dropping their Got Away: The EP on the 7th of September (which is also my son's bornday - win!), and Broad sent over this cut with Montreal's own Malicious, who is a cat I'm pretty sure I had never heard of before. And I'm kind of blown away - that beat is dope, and I knew it would be, I'm just loving how Malicious attacked it. He's as hard as the drums on this, but his flow also retains a smooth quality to it. Precision sharp, every word holding weight. Just a heavy track to drop on the people. Loving how this EP is sounding! Be on the look out for that one, trust we.

Introducing The Accomplices

During our conversation prior to the release of Dream Season, The Jake mentioned his latest project, The Accomplices, which is Jake and BroadNMarket on the beats. From what I understand, they have Got Away: The EP set to drop early September, with MCs like Daniel Joseph, Tom Chase, DeuceZ, J. Gunn, MaG, Trek Life and more featured. I got hit with the cut "The Getaway" with MaG, and you cats need to hear it. It's exactly what you know you needed from the game, but slept on for whatever reason. Don't let this shit get away from you. Hopefully we'll get some more jawns like this?

[RTD Interview]: The Jake

Funkmaster Flex told cats to not drop any material around the time Watch The Throne drops, but the release date for The Jake's Dream Season EP on RTD Records has been solid for like six weeks. Anyways, we've been in promo mode for Dream Season over the last four weeks, and I figured it made sense to let you guys know a little behind one of the underground's finest producers. He's thick into the Soul of the music, and it shows. Putting in work over the last four years, New Hampshire's The Jake is one of my current favorites in terms of tracks. He has those vibin' tracks, and knows how to pick talented MCs to take those beats to the next level. The EP is fresh, now get to know the brains behind it...
