Hustle Emcee Takes Listeners On 'The Marvelous Pursuit of Peace'

The homey Hustle Emcee blessed me with a link to his ItsJustAhmad-mixed project, The Marvelous Pursuit of Peace a little while ago, and I've been sitting with it. Dude is really one of the cats you need to be listening to, especially if you're from The Town and need someone who speaks your language to properly knowledge you. He's one of the most humble cats I know, and one of the more wiser heads on the mic.

We actually got a glimpse of this via the "Major Keys" freestyle Hustle dropped in 2016, but who knew it'd turn into two of Trenton's titans locking horns in this mixtape? The other day, I was out to get some lunch when I saw the homey Hustle Emcee at the bar. He was doing him, and we said whattup, but before he dipped, he hit me with a CD with a few gems on it. I know he's been getting back into the swing of things, and it's dope to hear that he's unleashing material like this.

Out now is his "Major Keys" freestyle, which finds Hustle going for his over that "Nas Album Done" instrumental from DJ Khaled's latest. And it's a scorcher. Nas merked that track, and Hustle gets on his own illmatic pen game for this, bringing intellect to the block. With hoodie season creeping into the air, these are some major keys for those who might be hugging that block. Think on it.

Jersey Fresh Jam 2013 (8/10/2013): Official Flyer

Everything you need to know about the 2013 Jersey Fresh Jam is right here. The official Pre-Party/Vicious Styles Crew art show goes down at Gallery 219 in Trenton on August 9th. The Jam take splace at Terracycle in Trenton on August 10th from 12PM-6PM, with over 50 artists painting live, as well as a number of live performances from Black Collar Biz (with the Blackout Kings), Tone Liv, Molly Rhythm, Rich Quick, and plenty of others, with the official Jersey Fresh Jam Afterparty going down at Artworks in Trenton that night. I do hope you guys have been paying attention to the movement going on with in the NJ Hip-Hop/art community right now. On November 9th, S.A.G.E. Coalition put on Presume the Unpredictable, a serious Hip-Hop art show featuring Kasso and his associates. If you've hit any of the Trenton Hip-Hop shows, preferably the Garden Variety shows, you already know who Its Just Ahmad is. He's ALWAYS repping on the decks, providing a serious selection of fresh tracks, be them classic or shit you ain't even up on from today. He's been curating this Presume the Unpredictable mixtape that you can cop at their mixtape release party on the 8th of December at 219 Studios in Trenton (the $10 cover charge gets you this dope tape). This tape will feature that brand new from Black Collar Biz, Rich Quick, Venomous2000, Hustle MC and many more. Ahmad told me that the MCs featured on this tape "were and still are the soundtrack and inspiration for a lot of art work created by" Will Kasso.
