Zack Fox "Square Up (Ase Manual Remix)"

If you're not up on Zack Fox, your social media timelines are hella dry. Over the last month or so, he's been killing it with his #squareupchallenge, so much so that he dropped a whole Kenny Beats-produced track. A viral moment wouldn't be authentic if it didn't get the Jersey Club treatment, so shouts out to Ase Manual for being quick to the draw with his new "Square Up" remix. Stream and download that bad boy below, via Bandcamp.

Jaden Smith "Ghost (R3ll Remix)"

The beauty of the remix is that it can make you give a fuck about something you'd never bother rocking with. Case in point; Jaden Smith is an enigma, but that doesn't mean I'm trying to hear him make music. That said, when Jersey's R3ll is on the boards, I'm all for it. Maybe I'll listen to the original (shouts to Christian Rich). Or probably not.

Stream this banger in full below, and download it for free today.

TT the Artist and UNIIQU3 Are Your 'Club Queens'

When it comes to the infectious sounds of Baltimore and Jersey Club, TT the Artist and UNIIQU3 are two of the artists really waving the flags for their respective moments. It makes sense that they'd link up for Club Queens, Vol. 1, a project that also serves as the debut release for TT's Club Queens label. It's also a tribute to the OG Bmore club queen, DJ K-Swift, and is a dope blend of the Bmore and Jersey club sounds.

You can stream the full seven-track EP below, and then head over to iTunes to download it.

Cashmere Cat ft. MØ & SOPHIE "9 (After Coachella) (R3LL Remix)"

While R3LL might not have been able to drop his Certified Club Music mixtape when he wanted to, he more than made up for it with the release of this Cashmere Cat remix.

R3LL is one of the few Jersey Club artists bringing the sound to the masses, and his Dim Mak affiliation definitely helps when it comes to the wider EDM audience; this is remix should be blasting out of everyone's daddy's Prius come the end of the year. Or at least throughout Indian Summer.

Stream this rework below, and download it ASAP.

UNIIQU3 "Phase 3"

The Jersey Club dynamo UNIIQU3 is back with a brand new EP, Phase 3, set to drop via NLV Records on August 24. This week, she unleashed the title track, and it's a monster. The cut, which finds the Jersey Club Queen infusing a number of throwback sounds into a futuristic club stew, also features UNIIQU3 rockin' her shit on the vocals. Not too many producers are doing it like her, on such a consistent level, but that's just how Jersey does.

Stream "Phase 3" below, and if you need it in your playlists, cop that shit.

Ase Manual "Oh Okay"

Ase Manual is someone UNIIQU3 put me onto. They collaborated on her cut "2 The Floor", and I was a big fan of his Black Panther: The Album remix project. On "Oh Okay," some hypnotic guitar strums play on a loop as he lets some club-ready percussion boom on the under. Big body track that makes for a very unexpected banger. Grab it over on Bandcamp.

rockthedub radio: January 2018 Edition

It's been a minute, but we're back with the first episode of rockthedub radio of 2018. What's crazy is there's a couple of demo mixes sitting somewhere that are on some wild shit, but after figuring out what made the most sense right now, we're trying something out now: one hour shows, roughly 30 minutes of hip-hop along with another set of dance music, all strictly from the month that was. New material from Detboi, Jean Grae & Quelle Chris, EQ Why, R3LL and many more.

Stream below, download via iTunes, and check the tracklist down bottom.

Kehlani - "CRZY (R3ll Remix)"

kehlani-crzy-r3ll-remix

One has to imagine, as a producer/remixer, that the biggest compliment are tweets like these.

R3ll has been putting on for the Jersey Club scene for years, and I know having Kehlani saying she's turning up to his rework of her hit single "CRZY" had him going insane. It's worth it; this is the perfect kind of song to chop vocals and throw loads of kicks underneath.

If you needed to get your sets right for the (long) weekend, you can download R3ll's "CRZY" remix right now. Stream the full track down below.

French Montana ft. Kodak Black - "Lock Jaw (R3LL Remix)"

You already know how we do around here; anytime a fly dance remix of a rap song hits the timeline, it's in out bloodstream. There's something about the Jersey club movement and how on-the-pulse it is that has me open. R3ll has seen success outside of this thing of theirs, but it's good to see him reaching back and blessing the people with bangers.

French Montana and Kodak Black crafted one of the most ignorant anthems of 2016 with "Lock Jaw," and it made sense that it got the hyper club rework. R3ll threw everything that you need in a banger of a remix into his take, then gave it to the people for free. Turn up.

The Jersey Club Remix of Skepta's "Man (Gang)" That You Didn't Know You Needed

Kind of surprising that more UK grime tracks aren't getting the Jersey club treatment; guess that's where Uniique and YK come in. Uniiqu3 actually mentioned to me that this Skepta remix was made specifically for a recent UK tour, and it went off. It's the perfect blend of quirky grime sensibilities and Jersey club's knack for taking the right parts of a vocal or track and turning it into repetitive bliss.

The icing on the cake? This remix is your's for $free.99.

DJ Sliink Stays Reppin' Jersey

In a similar vein to grime, people love talking Jersey club... until it's time to talk about it. DJ Sliink, who recently signed with Skrillex's OWSLA imprint, has been doing the damn thing over the last few years, and his new In Session mix for Mixmag is proof positive that he's on the cusp of doing even bigger things. That blend of hip-hop and R&B in his frantic rhythms are so cherry, as is the intro.
