I've been a growing fan of Juan Epstein over the last year or so. I caught a little late, but once I did the knowledge and listened to everything Ciph and Rosenberg have been working on, I became an instant fan. These guys put in work, and remind me of niggas I would like to hang out with and shoot the shit.
June ft. Alkatraz "Dimelo Papi": Hah this is a hype track; reminds me of that instant-hype that early DMX tracks would give you. June's working of the drum roll into his lyrics was ill, and while I didn't know what he was saying, that 2nd verse was sick. This should be a track you throw in the Jeep and blast - LOUD!
Huey ft. Juelz Santana & Bobby V "PAYOW!": I actually dropped this in last week's playlist, and forgot to do a specific drop on it. This is possibly the funniest Remedial Rap track I've heard in a bit. Forget the fact that Huey twerks that Auto-Tune... dude is definitely "harmonizing" about his pipelayin'. Bobby V's chorus is the real capper - the fact that dude is making a hook like "you don't know I got that PAYOOOOW!" sound like the hottest shit out there. I could've done without that Juelz cameo, but I get it. Shouts to Michelle.
I had no idea Buck Marley was from Jersey (Union County, whuddup!?!?!); he's been doing the blog-thing for about a year and a half, and he's been making a name for himself. This is the first (of many) compilations he's put together, featuring a batch of artists you mess with. Mixed by DJ Tech Support, its full of exclusive, dope music - including a dope outro cut! Daniel Merriweather ft. Wale "Change (Hans Beck Remix)": Hans Beck = Sam Han (aka @caughtintheweb, the producer of the Danyelliott podcast) and Charles Beck. They cooked up this remix for the RCRD LBL/Daniel Merriweather Contest; Mark Ronson and Daniel themselves will be picking the winner, so good luck to these Hans Beck fellows. This is pretty smooth - got a nice, fat bass and the mix really touches on the melodies in the track. Need some more of this, Sam!
