Homage CVG and Waldo from Cincinnati ft. Jermiside "Power Windows"

After only becoming familiar with Homage CVG's material via his recently-released Hacienda LP, it's great to see that CVG's back with another one. CVG's next project, Used Cars, which was made in collaboration with Waldo from Cincinnati; it's a sequel to their 2017 smash Grocery Choppin'.

Kudos to them for linking with Jermiside on the lead single from Used Cars, "Power Windows". It's just as dope as you'd imagine it'd be, all light and airy and hypnotic. Run this one back multiple times.

Lovin' this one. Niggas know about Jermiside (I hope) and Brickbeats (I hope!), but do you know they've done their thing as a duo, under the guise The Red Giants? They're dropping their next opus, Supercharged, late August, and I've slept on posting this one for no good reason. Jerm links up with Lessondary affiliate Che Grand and the one like Omar Aura over this magnificent beat. Feels like some proper lazy Summer afternoon shit. For those of you who slept on You & What Army last November, the good folks at HiPNOTT picked up the rights to drop a physical CD version of the latest Tanya Morgan project, and word from 2DBz is that Von Pea produced three remixes that will serve as bonus cuts on the disc. This is one, and features Spec Boogie hopping on one of my favorite cuts from that project. Pea brings the understated slap on this one, trust.

Love that Jerm produced the majority of this project (with beats from Von Pea and Mike Jaye thrown in for good measure). Roulette Music ft. Grafik Ruffin & Jermiside "Winnin'": Based on the title and the Charlie Sheen mania going on over the last 2-3 weeks, I was waiting for the chorus on this track to feature a lot of samples from Sheen interviews. Nah, just some blah. With Nate Dogg passing away, makes you kind of look at all the hooks coming out right now. The beat on this isn’t bad – Roulette Music has an album, No Handouts, on the way, and their instrumental is nice. It’s got a nice bop to it, sounds like a HBCU marching band did the sounds, nice live feel to it. And Lessondary member Jermiside does the damn thing, as per usual, but that hook just irritates me.
