The Lessondary Crew is FINALLY Dropping That Album

I actually feel like an asshole; I'd seen this hit the Internets a bit ago, but life had me from actually peeping it. That kills me, because I feel like I've been waiting for this Lessondary group album for forever already. Think about it: the combined forces of Tanya Morgan, Ilyas, Elucid, Rob Cave, Jermiside, Brickbeats, AND Aeon?! I feel like I've been hearing about this at LEAST since the release of Brooklynati, and it looks like the squad has finally got the project to gether.

This first cut, which is the first cut on the forthcoming Ahead of Schedule, is a hook-less, hyper posse cut that finds the various MCs going for broke over a Brickbeats track. If you listen to this and don't understand why I fucks with them, you need your head examined.

i-EL "Illuminatus": Shit, it's been like a year and a half since The Prelude dropped, but don't be skurred - Ilyas has been working on material, and Meka dropped this first peak from The Initiate EP. Ilyas goes deep on this one - I used to think about shit like this a lot, so its good to hear that cats are bringing forth these messages that most people touch on without knowing what the shit is going on. I also like that with MCs like Ilyas and Elucid, you see how diverse the Lessondary truly is.

Tanya Morgan 2010 Solo LP News

Following up on the success that is Brooklynati, Tanya Morgan's members (Donwill, Von Pea and Ilyas) all have solo albums lined up for 2010. Here's the breakdown:

• Donwill's Don Cusack In High Fidelity drops on March 23rd (download "Laura's Song" now!)
  
• Von's Pea's Gotta Have It is looking for a Summer release
• Ilyas' Hello, Hell is lined up for Fall

Word from Audible Treats is that "despite being three separate projects, Tanya Morgan views the solo albums as a trinity of sorts, being released as three different suites representing the whole of the group's individual identities. Speaking on his third of the triumvirate release, Von says, "Pea's Gotta Have It is the album I daydreamed about making one day back when I was in high school so it's told from the perspective of a high school student. It starts on the first day of senior year and it ends right before graduation."". They are also working on the initial stages of album #3, and will still be touring, which will include a stop at SXSW in March!
