Aside from January 1st, today has been a date that a lot of artist's set to drop their latest projects on. Suave The Ape put on his black beret, his leather jacket and got kind of conscious on this one. I love hearing cats who are kind of young getting that knowledge and kicking some elevated shit on their tracks. Suave got in the pocket with those mid-90's vibes in the beats and the lyrics, and has really come into his own. At least that's how I hear it. Suave The Ape "Where We At?": I've got a feeling January 1st, 2011 will be chock full of a number of releases, including Suave's Dead Nation EP, which shows him continuing his progression, which is equal parts new school and mid-90's flyness. Dude just has a crazy throwback appeal that hits me everytime I hear him touch a mic. He also likes touching on heavier topics, making his poetry both boastful and hopeful. Dude’s got a number of powerful messages, and speaks that reality as only a Jersey nigga can.
