Respect to him for trying. I love the concept, and thank you dude, for not doing the same old cliche rap stuff that swirls around.
That said, it's really disappointing. Purposely promo production values aside, it still just sounds subpar. That film is nothing but pure classic sci-fi. Well thought out, rough and thought-provoking. I actually forgot about 'the planet falls' and listened to Crash Landing. Then I went back to listen to The Planet Falls before judging him off this one cut - and then realized that I had already lamented how bad this is.
If this was country or r&b or something, I suppose nothing would be said. But this is Hip Hop. I'm sure dude is like who the hell are you, cause that's how I feel when my stuff gets criticized. And for all I know, cat recorded this in his basement while his newborn was in the other room asleep. Regardless, he's gotta step up the flow if he's going to mess around with the Planet of the Apes series.
I humbly suggest more music and sounds, and spreading out the words. His flow isn't the type where you just want to hear a non-stop 300-word spit. It works better as smaller doses.
But what do I know. Mad love to dude for trying.
