Ichiban "Drugs"

Ichiban "Drugs" (prod. by Kid Hum): Here's a lil' leak that found its way into my mitts earlier today. Word on the tweets is that Ichi and Hum have a project about, well, drugas, but there's not much info on release dates or anything on it. See this as a pretty ill sneak preview from those elevated minds over in Colorado. Enjoy this at 4:20... or whatever time you get lifted.

Suave The Ape "Product Of Hip-Hop"

Suave The Ape "Product Of Hip-Hop": Been a minute since I've had some new music from Suave The Ape, so it was a pleasant surprise when he hit me with this cut from his next mixtape, Jazz Poems Of Naturalism, which is said to drop December 3rd. If you dig that mid-90s flavor, you need to get up on this one.

Deal - The Villain "This Ain't (Love)"

Deal - The Villain "This Ain't (Love)": I've (cryptically) mentioned Deal's EPic release that's due out on RTD Records VERY soon. We've now decided to give you a few leaks off of this. "This Ain't (Love)" is one of the strongest tracks on the release, as well as being one of the strongest cuts I've heard from DTV. The loop reminds me of some dusty Wu-Tang shit, with Deal wasting no time lettin' you niggas know what this ain't! EPic should raise some awareness not only for what Deal has cooking in the kitchen, but for what's on deck for the entire Elite Aseembly collective.

Release date for EPic coming soon.

Bonus Beats Deal - The Villain "Don't Matter" (prod. by Sincere)

Wordsmith "Heavy Metal Mics"

Wordsmith "Heavy Metal Mics" (prod. by DJ Bless): This track does exactly what it says on the tin - Words kicks furious styles over some sick riffs. Really sly, really big sound. This track actually serves as the title track for the EP Words and Bless are working on. No set date on this, just rock w/ the exclusive and keep it locked for more...

DJ Food ft. DK "Sentinel (Shadow Guard)"

DJ Food ft. DK "Sentinel (Shadow Guard)": The first studio-collaboration of DJ Food's Strictly Kev and the one like DK touches down on The Shape Of Things That Hum EP, the new DJ Food EP which drops on December 14th (15th in the US and Canada). This is the Ninja sound that I fell in love with back 14, 15 years ago. Funky, jazzy, ILL. The EP features 3 remixes of "All Covered In Darkness" by PC, an instrumental of "Giant" and other tasty bits. Enjoy this morsel and get ready for the full monty next month!

50 Cent "Death To My Enemies"

50 Cent "Death To My Enemies": So, a P2P rip of the "international version" of Before I Self Destruct leaked sometime today. I haven't peeped the whole jawn, but this one is the first that really caught my attention. That harpsichord-lead beat caught me off-guard - definitely what I'm trying to hear right now. He speaks to Dre in the beginning - did he produce this?

It sounds official to me - the site I saw this one mentioned this as being a "nice P2P rip before the main scene rip", but the tracklists match with what I saw (excluding the bonus tracks).

Good Biz ft. Brother J "Nowhere"

Good Biz ft. Brother J "Nowhere" (prod. by The ARE): When I interviewed Bobbie Fine back in April, he spoke about his new group, Good Biz, who were working on their album. Quay Devon, KP and B. Fine connect live Voltron, and over this neck-snappin' crack from The ARE, and a fresh 16 from the X-Clan's own Brother J, this is one you can't miss.

Bobbie just hit me back and let me know that anyone in the Portland area should hit up their show at the Adidas store downtown Portland on November 5th; they are also working on a mixtape to set up their Sound Investment album (which drops 1Q 2010) called The Bermuda Triangle that will be featuring talent from Houston, Portland and New Jersey, featuring artists from all three areas. I'll hit you with info on THAT when I get it. Until then, peep "Nowhere" and this bonus cut featuring the god YZ, which pays homage to The Originals (see how everything ties in together)!

Bonus Beats Good Biz ft. YZ "Mr. Original" (prod. by The ARE)

And don't forget: Blaque Spurm's Spurmicidal Tendencies and The Funk Family's Everything'll Befyne (produced by the late Tony D) are available NOW!

Fink "Dub It All (Sideshow Sees It All In Dub)"

Fink "Dub It All (Sideshow Sees It All In Dub)": Not often that I get some true dub, and after skimming through Dub Echoes recently, I had to post this. "See It All" is the second single from Fink's Sort of Revolution album on Ninja Tune. One thing I did not realize (or maybe I forgot) was that Sideshow is Fink's dub alias, which has been getting tunes signed alongside Appleblim and Martyn. This is a true dub excursion - all moody and groovin' riddim. Fink's "See It All" single drops on October 19th, and features remixes of "See It All" from D*L*I*D and Emika, among other things.

Mariah Carey "Inseparable"

Mariah Carey "Inseparable": "Obsessed" was cool, but I'm no fan of "I Wanna Know What Love Is" in any incarnation. This album cut is more my speed. There's even a slight nod to Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time", but that mid-tempo vibe is what I like hearing MC over. With one sitting, its my favorite track, but I'm not really writing home about the album. To each their own.

Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel hits stores September 29th.

Bonus Beats Mariah Carey "More Than Just Friends"

Elucid Bear Trapz

It's always an honor and a privilege to be able to drop that new face-melting material from Elucid. Bear Trapz features three new cuts from the man, and could damn-well be seen as a demo tape or blueprint (no Jay-Z) for those of you who want to peer into the future of this thing of ours. We are creatures of multiple influences, and no other MC has the ability to retain his lyrical potency over beats that would create challenges for a cat who doesn't possess his verbal acumen. This is Bear Trapz.

Tracklist:

We Don't Care (Caspa Dub)
Yum Yum (N-Type Dub)
Trouble The Water (prod. by SuhBurb)

Now, let me step up to the podium and read a prepared statement, something special for this occasion...

Raekwon "Sonny's Missing"

Raekwon "Sonny's Missing" (prod. by Pete Rock): While Royal Flush did his thing over this track last year, I think Rae took the cake (then, ironically, he baked the cake). OB4CL2 has suffered from leak syndrome, and these are two of my instant favorites. You've heard the bonus in a snippet form, and its oh so crispy now. Don't sleep on this one when it drops next week!

Whygee ft. DJ Brikabrak "The Drastic"

Whygee ft. DJ Brikabrak "The Drastic" (prod. by Yallzee): Yallzee's boomin' beat x Whygee's ode to quality Hip-Hop + Brikabrak's prime cuts = supreme Hip-Hop satisfaction. I'm not 100% where this cut will end up, but the above graphic should hold the key...

BP & OddS "The Gift"

BP & OddS "The Gift": Damn. I love getting random e-mail blasts and it being some shit I need right now. Here are two cuts from LA duo BP and OddS' album The Medium, which drops in October. You will find these on The Premium Mixtape, which will be available next month. Some really ill, soulful Hip-Hop vibes and stuff. Remember what was good about '90s Hip-Hop? A lot is found in these two cuts...

MAGr ft. Blu "Laminated Looseleafs"

MAGr ft. Blu "Laminated Looseleafs" (prod. by DistantStarr): Here's a leak from a project I've been waiting to unleash for a minute. Dom P at Public Axis and RTD are presenting MAGr's No News Is Good News album... remember when I hipped you to this back in June? I've been rockin' to this for the last week, and its awesome. Al Mighty and DistantStarr make up MAGr, and both have put in a gang of work on this project. The bulk of the project was produced by DistantStarr, but beats from the likes of Hudson Mohawke, Erik L, Fel Sweetenberg and many more compliment his soundscapes very well - and the lyrics? Al Mighty is a beast on the mic, and with features from the Rap Pack and Cymarshall Law (again, among others) help accent MAGr's flavors.

Take this as a warning - you better be ready when Public Axis & RTD Present MAGr: No News Is Good News drops on Monday, August 31st. No sleepin' on Jersey...

EDIT Here's a mirror, if you can't access that usershare link.

Wizz ft. Cy Yung & Kool G Rap "The Recipe"

Wizz ft. Cy Yung & Kool G Rap "The Recipe" (prod. by Centric): Here's the first leak from Centric's Alter Ego compilation, and nothing on this is a typo. This is the follow-up to Cen's Streetsoul album from 2008, and judging by this subtle banger, this should be one interesting project. They really do mix "the best that do it with the best that did it", you feel me?

Caspa Narkz "My Buddy": Dude may not be new to some, but its New Spit to me. This is a heater that Brooklynite Caspa Narkz hit me with earlier today, and I'm impressed. Definitely digging the new spit. Now all dude has to do is hit me with some more ill shit. The Lottery 2 coming soon...

Playaz Circle "Hold Up"

Playaz Circle "Hold Up" [clean / dirty]: It's Tit... and the other guy. Dolla? I don't know. Anyways, here's the latest cut from the Playaz Circle niggas. Apparently they have some good diesel - they got someone convinced that DTP/Def Jam should put out their next album, Flight 360. This track isn't horrible... it just doesn't do much. It'd be cool to rock to in the backseat of a candy-colored Chevy, but only if you're thowed. Shouts to Digiwaxx.
