The homey Cable put me onto Young Mind and the "cosmic trap" sound he creates, and it looks like this is confirmed to be the 5th release on Cable's Triangulum imprint. No word on release date, but don't fuck around and miss this. Reminds me of what Joker would sound like if he took his Purple Wow sound and Trap'd it out. This is what I'm talking about when I say Trap needs more outside influences. Too many guys making generic Hip-Hop beats and passing it off as something dope. If you don't want the sound to die, don't cut the creativity off, nahmean? I hear Mr. Mitch and Decibel have remixes coming soon as well. More word when I have it.

One of my passions is writing, another is music. When you get me writing about music I feel passionate about? It's a wrap. I can't help it. DJ Cable's struck a winner with the next EP on Triangulum from some cat named SRC. I didn't have any expectations, as I know Cable has signed the deeper stuff but has a flair for the dancefloor bounce. This EP sides more for the floor, but it has this fly quirkiness about it that still knocks. Like SRC knows how to cut the hecticness perfectly on tunes like "June" to where they have that raw snap, but that quality that really gets you moving. Just some dynamic music. Expect this sometime in June, with a feature on DOA at some point.
Teeza's EP for Triangulum drops this Friday (March 2nd), so DJ Cable made a slick promo mix to support it. The majority of the EP is on this mix, as well as tracks from varying other releases. Make Teeza a part of your playlist, trust. Triangulum is taking over Just Jam today, and Cable sorted a free tune of Teeza's, "Neptune", as well. No excuses.

Taking a vintage Slim Thugga single and pairing it up with the first glimpse from Joker’s forthcoming album? I could see niggas in Houston bouncing their candy painted whips to something like this, syrup’d out, leanin’ low.
