Konflict - "MESSIAH (KILLSAFARI FLIP)"

I can't even front: Konflict's "Messiah," one of the biggest anthems/staples in the drum & bass scene, has never been my cup of tea. I get it: that sound was rising within the scene at the time (circa 2000). The intro is EPIC, one of those things DJs started sets with a lot...hence why I got bored with it. Once it drops, it doesn't do much but repeat what's been established and have that "aaaaAAAAAAAHHHH" vocal in it. Never did it for me.

Now this flip from Kill Safari (aka the project from Kill the Noise and Bro Safari) is hands down the only way I want to hear "Messiah": as a trap banger. Shout out Kill Safari; I'm old enough to have been doing content over on DOA when Kill the Noise was producing as Ewun and Bro Safari was known as Knick from Evol Intent; they were some of the stateside soldiers who helped put bricks on the foundation of the American dnb scene when they were passed the baton. When dubstep and trap and other sounds started to emerge, mad folks dove in to explore, and these two really turned their side projects into their mains, which makes Kill Safari even more intriguing, as it's their side side side project that's operating as a main. Hence the free(!) release of this "Messiah" flip. Happy Friday!
