It’s been five months since
RockTheDub featured Zedd. Since then, the EDM breakthrough artist has been hard at work and it is certainly very evident.
Clarity and Everything Else
His single Clarity ft. Foxes has reached number 1 in Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Songs and has been in the top 20 of music charts internationally. His album of the same name landed the top spots as well in the Billboard charts and Apple Store downloads. As of present, Zedd is now busy promoting his upcoming world tour aptly dubbed, Moment of Clarity. And did we mention he was one of many renowned DJs asked to take up residency in one of the swankiest new night clubs in Las Vegas? For sure he’s not going to be just playing around with poker chips and a deck of cards there.
#MoC
Going into detail about his concert, Zedd initially planned to have a worldwide concert after the cancellation of Lady Gaga’s world tour which he was supposedly a part of. That was January. Now he has solidified his plans and is all set starting August. As music news site
MStarz.com reports, “While all of the locations for the world tour covering 6 continents in 4 months have not yet been unveiled, the 26 dates for the US & Canada stops have been announced (including Electric Zoo in NYC). The North American leg of the world tour kicks off in Boston on August 28th and concludes on October 3rd in Oregon.” The #MoC Tour includes visits to North and South America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. To know how everything is progressing, this
tweet from Zedd may give you an idea.
The Light
Now for the casino enthusiasts and those dreaming to go to Las Vegas, our German music genius will be another great reason to visit the poker strip city. Zedd has been asked to take up show residency in the casino capital of the US. It’s not just at any casino-resort however. Before its opening last April, Mandalay Bay’s The Light Las Vegas took in world renowned DJs to regularly have shows there. Along with Zedd, Las Vegas will also be enjoying the companies of Baauer, Skrillex, Nicky Romero, Alesso and many other successful EDM producers. The Light has already attracted various types of clubbers, from geeky
PartyCasino gamers, laid back
Tumblr hipsters, up to party-loving Instagram groupies. Why the techie nicknames? It relates with the times we have now. It also seems appropriate given how techie the newest nightclub venue is. Check out
DubStep.net’s description of The Light Las Vegas.
#Zeddception
One more great reason why so many are becoming fans of the German EDM producer is his social media candour and “quirky-ness”. Remember how he danced in pink underwear, bowtie, and suspenders during the Ultra Music Fest because of a dare by DeadMau5? Well, those funny antics continue on Twitter. Just last week, #Zeddception became a worldwide trending topic with Twitter users changing their profile photos to Zedd’s photo. Once again, it was another bright idea by dear friend DeadMau5 which, as Zedd tweets, “escalated VERY quickly!”
