I'd add a bunch of text regarding this, but the homey Dart Adams, who compiled this collection of Dre Robinson freestyles, sent over his own grip of text. Hit the jump for that. Pollymore stand the fuck up.
Been loving the tracks Dre Robinson has been dropping, and now Volume One of The Lost Treasure is out, featuring cuts like "Wah Do Dem", "Droppin' Bills", "Stranded" and more, including a DOPE "Lemonade Freestyle". If you're not up on dude, you've found the buried treasure.
Dre Robinson "100 Bars (Greg's Fault 2)": Damn, G - you really put the battery in Dre's back! We already got "The Reason", but Dre had some more shit to get off his chest, and all he needed was 100 bars to do it. He just bodied "Usual Suspects", and his Lost Treasures is on the way!
Dre Robinson "The Reason (Greg's Fault)" (prod by Nelly ProToolz): Hah, the homey @GValentinoBall fucked around and told @DreRob to (his words) "quit playing around and rap"... Dre did just that and emerged with this heatrock. Cotdamn - Dre - QUIT PLAYING AROUND AND RAP! PLEASE!
Dre Robinson ft. Lexxus "No No No": Good to hear Dre dig deeper into his Jamaican roots - this is straight up FIYAH music. Very high energy pon dis chune. Be on the lookout for Dre's Lost Treasures.
The Camp ft. Bishop Bacardi & Dre Robinson "Move" (prod. by Teddy Roxpin): Tracks like this crack me up - it's been a minute since I've heard music from The Camp, and I regularly feature Dre Rob AND Teddy Roxpin on RTD, so it feels like it was made for RTD, haha. Anyways, this is some "niggas just stepped in the place, get the fuck out my face" type appeal. More sci-fi of a sound from Roxpin than I've heard before, but it works perfect for the subject matter. Throw this one on when you wanna make it known that the big dawgs are in the venue.
This is the first leak off of Pills & Liquor, which is set to drop in June on Banga Bros. Ent.
Dre Robinson "Droppin' Bills": Hah, Dre don't fuck around. This sounds like some anthem shit that might need to be spun on the radio. I'm wondering if his peoples are trying to do some kind of video - I got crazy visions for this one! DJs might need to get up on this one, primed for the partyscene, nahmean?
Brick Records and Pollymore Music Group present this mixtape from City Slickers, which is mixed by Nelly Protoolz and hosted by J. Saki. This trio is already hot, but they nabbed dope features from the likes of Termanology, Dre Robinson and more, with a dope mixture of original jams and and freestyles. Download/tracklist after the jump.
Dre Robinson ft. Amandi "Liquor Talk": There's a lot of niggas who ended up baby daddies for lettin' the liquor talk. Dre expounds on the phrasing and come-ons that many Henny/Patron-swimmers will use on suspecting females in the club. All we ask is that you keep it protected. This might be some ish that could put some drunk dialers in the mood, coo into a chick ear. Do you.
Dre Robinson "Wah Do Dem" [clean \ dirty]: Here's a new leak from the homey Dre Robinson, taken from his forthcoming Lost Treasure street album that's due out this Spring. Love the dancehall flavor on the hook, and Dre always sounds hungry whenever he touches the mic. Great track to get you hype in the A.M.; shouts to G Valentino for this one.
Dre Robinson "Stranded" [clean \ dirty]: Another heater from Dre. Dude's got that in-your-face delivery, sounds like something I'd want to see him perform, nahmean? Throw this one in your whip and turn it up LOUD.
Dre Robinson ft. Mighty Mystic "Fade Away" (prod. by Nelly Protools) [clean \ dirty]: Nelly came with the SOUNDCLASH sound effects on this one. Really aggressive on this one, but that Dancehall vibe is what keeps me moving. I hope Robinson has some heat on deck to keep this momentum going...
Se7en ft. Dre Robinson & M-Dot "G'D UP" (prod. by Pauly Fingaz): Three of Boston's finest link up for one banger of a track? This is one of those cuts that true Gs click-clack over. If that applies to you, this should be your summer anthem. If you don't, pretend you do: throw on your hoodie, unlace your ACGs and vibe to this.
