Something about those drums! This is kind of tough, but might take some of you a bit to really feel.

The Combat Jack Show: The Joe Budden Interview

This is Part 2 of the latest episode; Part 1 was the massive Ebro Darden interview. Via TheCombatJackShow: "Joe at his most zen, talks candidly about the women in his life, who takes his sex pics, Eminem’s impact on him, his upcoming reality tv show, why he throws rude twitter chicks out his shows, why nothing no longer bothers him and his SlaughterHouse brotherhood."

Juan Epstein (9/11/2012)

When I saw Slaughterhouse was on Hot 97 recently, I knew this one was on it's way. Rosenberg calls this the best interview with SH that's ever been done, and I tend to believe that statement. Big up to this. Also, the Juan Epstein App is available now - check that out!

"I Can't Forget New Jersey" (Dec. 2011)

I got hit up by 101 Distribution to contribute to their "News" section, highlighting NJ Hip-Hop. That's my M.O. already, so I said "let's go". The first article went up today, and is more of a 2011 NJ Hip-Hop review. I don't cover EVERYTHING, but a lot of what stood out to me in 2011's NJ scene is in there. I'm hoping to get more interviews and artist features up as the months go on, so hit me at khal@rockthedub.com, subject "I Can't Forget New Jersey", and we'll talk about getting some shine on. For now, let me know what you think of that first drop.

Lil' B "T-Shirts & Buddens"

Lil' B "T-Shirts & Buddens": Jeez... all Lil B wanted was a twitter follow from Joe Budden, and I guess Mouse went in on dude (as he's known to do via tweet)... and The Based God actually threw a diss track at him? And it's possibly the best thing I've heard from him... which isn't really SAYING much, but I'm not mad at homey for dissing on Budden.

"Joe Budden TV, Joe Bitch TV?"

Wow. I just want to see Joey go at dude... EDIT Uh oh...

Joe Budden "Something To Ride To"

Joe Budden "Something To Ride To" (prod. by J Cardim): I got sent this track twice in the last 16 hours, so it must be important. Oddly enough, the latest solo work of Budden's that I've dug are with J Cardim. Why he doesn't do a whole project with him is beyond me... but yeah. And the title is sort of confusing, seeing as he let's you know through the whole hook that this isn't something you would indeed want to ride to. Nigga still has bars, though, and that's all that counts.

Slaughterhouse "Cuckoo"

Slaughterhouse "Cuckoo" (prod. by DJ Khalil): I've been listening to a lot of Slaughterhouse material as of late - these niggas just have it. This Khalil-produced track won't stop the rotation of SH material on my cranBerry, either. I'm not sure if I can wait until August 11th - this might be a disc I have to buy!
