Sinistarr Feature @ Pigeons And Plans

Disc Jockey Nappy x Sinistarr - Chopper Jvke

Told you guys this one was coming Nappy linked up with Detroit's own Sinistarr for a proper education into the world of Juke/Footwork on this one. Not only do you get some of Sinistarr's genre-bending footwork, you get a number of cuts they feel typify and influence Sinistarr's work, and some curves Nappy threw in to make sur eyou guys are listening. Been vibing to this one for over a month or so, so I'm glad it's finally out! Shouts to @theotisjones for the art!

[preview] Sinistarr - Cetra EP

So glad to see URB pick up on Sinistarr's Cetra EP, which is forthcoming on Hit & Hope in June, I believe. Early support has already come from Sinden, Om Unit, Crissy Murderbot and Goldie, and for good measure, especially considering this is the first batch of non-DnB cuts the public has heard from this Detroit beatsmith. He digs into his roots, as well as delving into the Footwork side of things with "Bear The Mark" (which I've had for a minute and am glad it's seeing the light of day). The title cut has a chilled, Garage-y vibe, but "Runna" is the one IMO. Dope Hip-Hop vibe to it. You're not ready. Included in this preview is a Tailor Hawkins remix of "Cetra", but I don't believe that's on the final EP. Anyone looking to interview or feature Sinistarr more in depth, shoot me an e-mail. Sinistarr: The New New

Prior to the release of Sinistarr's Cetra EP on Hit and Hope (which I'll go into more next week), I wanted to share some beats from homey that he's been working on for the last couple of months. Mostly his non-DnB work, which SHOULD be picking up steam, including bangers like "Ross" and "I Am Not Invincible", as well as a fire footwork re-work of Capleton's "Slew Dem". Fucks with these.

Apex ft. Ayah "Space Between (Sinistarr Remix)"

Last weekend, I started having some deep/dope conversations with a producer out of the Detroit area by the name of Sinistarr. I've known about him for the last four/five years, as any Black DnB producers out of the US rarely miss my inbox. We've had a cool rapport, and I've seen him grow from getting tunes signed to Fabio's Creative Source imprint to having bits drop on Metalheadz and Hospital Records. He's been in a different space, and is moving into different BPMs, and this is one of his first in the 165BPM range. You might have heard of the juke/footwork styles coming from Chicago and Detroit, and this remix of an Apex track (with beautiful vocals from Ayah) that Hospital released is a great example of that footwork sound. Pounding kicks and thumping bass are two of the staples of this sound, and it's been taking over as of late. Hell, Disc Jockey Nappy and Juke Ellington even have a footwork tape dropping soon... as will Nappy and Sinistarr. In any case, grab this free remix, and if you're messing with the sound, there's PLENTY more where this came from!
