2012 was undeniably the year of the Trap. The EDM scene flocked to this sound (thanks,
Flosstradamus!), and cats who might've been making dubstep or Moombahton were now bringing out the 808s. Maybe it's the influx of rap tracks produced by
Lex Luger, maybe it's just a desire to start something anew, but Trap was in. And will be in, with players like
Baauer,
Clicks & Whistles,
TNGHT, and others making even more noise. My buddies at
TheRapUp (whattup,
Jaap?!) got put onto the sounds, and figured it'd make sense to educate the masses on some of the best examples of the sound in 2012, and who else to bring it to you than the one like
