Damn. Nothing like some new Sauce Money to make you realize how great Hip-Hop can be. Dude just starts spitting and you're hypnotized. Pushing the rewind button, trying to figure out what the hell he just said. Always fucked with dude, lyrically. And the artwork that came across with this? I need that on a t-shirt. Or I need chicken and watermelon on my plate.
This show is a perfect example of what the Combat Jack program is truly all about. You've got the prolonged intro, where bits of hilarity are used to break down the color wars within the Black community, with perceptions of talking white and other things to boot. Gems. More gems when D-Dot touches down and gives an oral history on his come-up through the game. So slick. Then Wais P brings that pimpnology to the foreground. We even get freestyles from both. The fuck you sleeping on this show for?!?
Not mad at Wais P flying out the box with an EP that essentially is dedicated to his devotion for the Random Axe album, flipping Black Milk’s instrumentals from the project and putting his own spin on things. It’s a nice way to big yourself up as well as show proper respect to the cats who inspire you. Tracks he spit over include “Chewbacca”, “Black Ops”, Everybody Somebody Nobody” and “The Hex”. Just some fire shit. Rediscover the album, and enjoy Wais’ bars.
Wais P "Pendejos": Nice track to vibe to in the afternoon. Kind of feels like a jawn NORE would freak the fuck out to, but with rhymes that aren’t as random. If you were smart and foxed with P’s It’s In The Game mixtape, you know this. If you fuck with this, you’ll hear it again on his Game & Claim EP. The beat on this is some shit to creep to – blast this on the night time cruise, to your booty call or to the club with your niggas, scheming on the freaks you’re trying to smash. Dope Biggie use in that hook as well.
Wais P ft. Maffew Ragazino & Ras Kass "The Perfect Bitch" (prod. by Shuko): The track title is pretty self-explanatory, as these three adept lyricists play Dr. Frankenstein and break down how to construct their perfect female. Don’t let that artwork fool you, though – their females will have elbows and thighs and shit, too. You know how it is, though – there’s certain things that the eyes of guys flock to. They flipped this kind of like a “Dreams” 2011, but not just with R&B chicks – more like flipping through your favorite gossip websites and drooling over the females there. Wais P’s It’s In the Game mixtape is on the way, while producer Shuko’s The Foundation 2 is in the works – and this cut plays double duty, as it’ll be featured on both projects!
