Amber Rose x Cipha Sounds & Rosenberg
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't using this as an excuse to post a picture of Amber Rose. I sweat her. She just has a very unique look... and a fatty. Anyways, the Hip-Hop Internets exploded when they heard the venom she spewed about Funkmaster Flex, but when I heard her on Cipha Sounds & Rosenberg, I was really surprised. I shouldn't have been, but this was one of the few times I've heard her personality and whatnot. Philly stand up. But yeah, she has a fatty... but she also seems to have her wits about her. From what I heard on Hot 97, this should be chock full of info on her relationship with Wiz Khalifa, as well as her thoughts on people questioning why she's famous, why she won't throw shots at Kanye, and I imagine a grip of hilarity that missed the radio cut. [preview] Nicki Minaj "Your Love (Silent Dust Remix)"
About a year ago, I'd just wait for a bootleg or refix of a track by someone who has a body as bangin' as Nicki Minaj - her backside is a thing of beauty, and if you don't believe me, ask Regis. I have to give it up to my boys Silent Dust, aka Hobzee & Zyon Base, two producers who started out doing Drum & Bass together and have morphed their sound into so much more. I think a lot of people fucked with the original Minaj track due to that very immediate sample, but you can invoke the same kind of airy emotion using your own homegrown sounds. SD kept it minimal on this, with a motivational kick and bass thump, with some really clean and calm guitars floating around. It's a real moving track, something to slow dance/jam to on a Sunday afternoon, curtains drawn, maybe some candles lit. I was lucky enough to have a copy of what's becoming their debut album for Soul:R on the external for a bit, and hope to be getting some kind of feature over on DOA for them soon, but until then, rock to this...Nicki Minaj - Your Love (Silent Dust Remix) by SilentDust

Here's some shots of Christine Barnum representing for Young & Reckless, the streetwear line from the one like Chris Pfaff, aka Drama, Rob Dyrdeck's cousin who has been seen on Rob & Big and Fantasy Factory on MTV. The thing I like about his company is that he's not trying to keep it exclusive - you can cop these off of the Y&R website, or in places like PacSun, so anyone can get a hold of it.
