Ever Wonder What Chance The Rapper Would Sound Like On Classic Kanye West Beats?

You can't front; Chicago has produced some of the dopest hip-hop artists ever. Two of them, Kanye West and Chance The Rapper, are helping re-envision what hip-hop means to the youth of today, and while they've linked up (just check out this year's "Ultralight Beam"), this new mixtape Chance The Dropout from DJ Critical Hype and DJ Clyde pulls some aural trickery, placing Chance over some dope, throwback Kanye West material.

"I love Chance as an artist and Kanye is one of the best producers of all time," Critical Hype told Pigeons & Planes. "They are both from Chicago and Chance is always talking about how big of an influence Kanye was and is. It seemed like a match made in heaven and a great way to bridge the gap of a new and older Chicago artist."

You Haven't Heard 'The Life of Pablo' Until You've Heard 'The Life of Paul'

Sites like HipHopIsRead have spent years of curating sample sources for some of your favorite albums, and while I've also heard DJs do mixes throwing in the original samples in, I've not heard a project quite like The Life of Paul. Apparently sorted out by a Reddit user, this is probably the most deluxe edition of Kanye West's The Life of Pablo you've ever heard. Not only did they make sure to include tracks not on the project, like "Only One" and "All Day," but there are simple things like a "Pt. 3" version of "Father Stretch My Hands" utilizing the DJ Dodger Stadium remix.

Mr. Carmack Gave Away His Remix of Jay Z and Kanye West's "Otis"

While I'm not sure WHY Mr. Carmack decided to rework Otis Redding's "Try A Little Tenderness" and Jay Z and Kanye West's "Otis," I'm here for it. It's a bit more of a flip of Redding's classic, with Jay's "guess I got my swagger" back line over some live-sounding drums. Swagger certified.

I can't front; I was waiting for this. Chicago juke master Gant-Man has been good with these quick Jay Z/Kanye West reworks, and "Fade" is pure soulful house music with a hip-hop swagger to it. Those classic samples were itching for a proper rework, and Gant's done the damn thing with his take.

When Kanye West first started teasing the promo push to SWISH, we got a track entitled "Real Friends" that featured a snippet of this Madlib-produced, Kendrick Lamar-featured track "No More Parties In L.A."...aka everyone got hype as fuck about the snippet.

The full version dropped on Martin Luther King Day (for good or ill), and finds 'Ye making sure he snaps just as hard as Kendrick did over this dusty gem. Play this six-plus minute jam the fuck out. You're welcome.

Kanye West "Love Lockdown (High School Crush Remix)": High School Crush is the fuzzy electro-lovechild of Danny Intrikut and Just Jeryl. Yesterday, Jeryl sent me a link to this remix while I was at work, and I almost had to leave the job. This remix does what most of the remixes I've received couldn't: it injects some funk and feeling behind Kanye's cold verses. Most remixes seemed like they were trying to match what Kanye did with this joint, while HSC turned gave Kanye a batch of Jolt! cola, turned him upside down, and shook him all about.

Media Contender got the (enviable) task of leaking this one to the masses, so I have to give them props in this. But I'm not happy about it!
