For the second Halloween in a row, The Two. Fifteens have cooked up an exclusive mix for you RTD fiends out there. 2011 has been a dope year from them, getting some great looks from the likes of Benji B, Starkey and other major players, as well as putting out projects like The Commute Vol. 1, as well as remix Nappy's "This Is Anger". They've got a grip of heat in the chamber, and are no doubt waiting to put out some serious sounds. I'll keep you locked on all of that, as per usual. For now, take a walk on the spooky side with their latest mix, featuring cuts from Hype Williams (the producer, not the video director), Scientist, Project Pat, Drumma Boy and their own productions. Fucks with this for your weekend - you HAVE to have some parties that this mix could be the soundtrack for very easily.
New heat from The Two. Fifteens; some special spacetrip shit right here. Feels like floating with the clouds. I imagine everytime that bass hits, the clouds shake and form new figures. Love that these brothers can totally arrange their bass-heavy from something menacing for the night into something so vivid and beautiful. Crunked out ballet step right here. Effective When Used After... soon come.

Just wanted to let all you thugsteppers know that Nappy & Definate's "This Is Anger" EP is available today in all good digital download spots through my RTDLTD imprint. It's been a long time coming - I remember when Nappy laid these vocals down on Definate's nasty riddim, and was in awe at how anthemic this truly is to our movement. Building from that to a full remix project, and securing versions from guys like Spooky, Teeza, Tim Reaper and The Two. Fifteens, as well as introducing heads to the likes of Sheer Dropz and Linton Brown? I feel like this has different flavors for the lovers of this sound - you've got more bouncy, club-ready versions to the darker, more sinister vibes, along with a full-on Jungle rinser and that 215 quirk. I personally tried to build this like the CD maxi singles I would buy back in the day, with a number of variations on a central theme. It's a true testament to what we've been building five years ago - for free. Not sure how often you'll get releases like this from this conglomerate, but there's been a grip of mixes, remixes and refixes given away... support our endeavors and get some BIG tunes to boot!

And here's a final version of Santi Junior's "This Is Anger" refix, under his new guise for all things refixed, Thugsteppa:
Nappy vs. S-X - This Is Anger (Thugsteppa Refix) by Disc Jockey Nappy
I felt dumb special. Some of my relationships afford me the opportunity to receive pre-release material, with strict instructions. Most of them include "you fucking share this and we'll gut you like the spineless fuck you are", so most of the time I won't even mention I have them. But after a don like Starkey dropped this on 1Xtra, I guess it didn't make sense to hold onto this. The Two. Fifteens feel like they're on the brink, and if they keep churning out beats like this? No telling who will be picking them up. Loving this one - super deep bass, has some dubstep tendencies but a few of you smart rappers should be able to throw a few sixteens on this. If you missed "Extra Cheese Slapp", know that the two of these just got released as promo exclusive jawns. Drop them in your mixes, rattle your speakers with 'em. Do whatever it is you need to do.

Well of course, a few days after Benji B drops "Cloudy. Got 'Em" on BBC Radio 1, Starkey drops a few bangers from The Two. Fifteens on MistaJam's 1Xtra show during his mix. One of them is a banger entitled "Patch'dUppRugbySlapp", which isn't available right now, but also features "Extra Cheese Slapp", which got a big premier on XLR8R earlier. It's in the vein of exactly what you expect from these two. LMAO at XL8R almost scoffing at the press description of "what Burial would sound like if he was from South Central", although it's a pretty solid comparison. Fucking bass in this one goes ham, and the bleeps and atmosphere will have you rocking to this one. Proper infectious EDM for the uninitiated. Don't want to say "I told you so", but we are about two years removed from their proper reemergence.

While I should be posting this because Objekt touched down for a special mix, I really am fucking with this because Benji B dropped a track from The Two. Fifteens ("Cloudy Got 'Em"), which was featured on the RTD FiF compilation. It's the little things. Be on the lookout for a project with The 215s and a few niggas RTD fucks with. Trust.
