#ThisIsAnger - Out Now!

Just wanted to let all you thugsteppers know that Nappy & Definate's "This Is Anger" EP is available today in all good digital download spots through my RTDLTD imprint. It's been a long time coming - I remember when Nappy laid these vocals down on Definate's nasty riddim, and was in awe at how anthemic this truly is to our movement. Building from that to a full remix project, and securing versions from guys like Spooky, Teeza, Tim Reaper and The Two. Fifteens, as well as introducing heads to the likes of Sheer Dropz and Linton Brown? I feel like this has different flavors for the lovers of this sound - you've got more bouncy, club-ready versions to the darker, more sinister vibes, along with a full-on Jungle rinser and that 215 quirk. I personally tried to build this like the CD maxi singles I would buy back in the day, with a number of variations on a central theme. It's a true testament to what we've been building five years ago - for free. Not sure how often you'll get releases like this from this conglomerate, but there's been a grip of mixes, remixes and refixes given away... support our endeavors and get some BIG tunes to boot!

This week, we don't have an alternate version of "This Is Anger", but we do have a recent mix that Nappy did for DJ Fusion's Urban Essentials radio show, which can be heard on Unity Radio 92.8 FM in Manchester, England. While "This Is Anger" isn't even played, it does give you a taste of the sounds that make up the This Is Anger EP, which drops on the 19th of September. You'll hear tracks like "Superman" from Kutz, as well as the Heroes x Villains-produced "How I Does It" by Young Luxx. 20 minute massacre.

#ThisIsAnger, Week 2: Nappy x Sheer Dropz

Following up on last week's Santi Junior refix, here's the alternate version of Sheer Dropz' contribution to this EP. When I hit Sheer up, I just asked for a remix. The pack that got sent back was amazing, and included two versions: a "downtempo" remix (which will be on the This Is Anger EP that drops on the 19th of September) and this "uptempo" remix. They both do exactly what they say on the tin, and are infectious in their own rights. This "uptempo" version has a dope flow to it, and is some shit you can get Big Booty Judy to drop it low to. For this Labor Day, knock back a couple and rock to this one.

I told you guys back in April that the This Is Anger EP was going to be dropping this year. Just got word back from Nu Urban, and the "This Is Anger" EP, with remixes from Spooky, Teeza, Linton Brown, Sheer Dropz, Tim Reaper and The Two. Fifteens will be released digitally on the 19th of September. Nappy and Definate did the damn thing on the original, and these remixes breathe new life into it. Trust. You might think you're ready... but you're not.

RTDLTD Podcast 002: Kantyze

Up for the second round of my RTDLTD imprint releases, France's Kantyze handles the podcast for their release, "Civilized" b/w "Steamdrain", which should be available on the 7th of September in many digital download outlets. This release is a noticeable departure from RTDLTD001, as it goes into the more neuro-side of the Drum & Bass spectrum. Kantyze has been getting tunes snapped up Freak, Obscene, Influenza Media LTD and other labels, not to mention operating their m-Atome imprint. Both of these tracks are BIG - really intense, brooding vibes on "Steamdrain" perfectly compliment the hypnotic textures in "Civilized". I've got more tunes lined up from this duo, so keep it locked!

The podcast they cooked up features a lot of their forthcoming bits, as well as some dubplates from RTDLTD. Nice and snappy!
