Case in point, this Payday Jones-produced cut breaks down what it might be like to be on your last breath before exiting this place, and from the production to Nico's intricate rhymes, it feels like the life that flashes before your eyes set to a somber, reflective, eerie beat. One to truly ponder over.

Finally. It's been two years since Kid Hum and RTD dropped Offshore Drilling. Two years since guys like Cy Yung, Whygee, Sky 7th, junclassic and others joined forces with Main Course, Deal - The Villain, The Jake and a merry band of features (including the one like Nico The Beast) aligned themselves as The KhemLab. Two years of starts and stops, and finally a powerful push over the last few months to get this done. I'm excited for you guys to hear this project in it's entirety, mainly because it started from nothing and became something I'm truly enjoying. Nico The Beast "Pain" (prod. by Kornswagger): I've always said that Nico touches on that raw reality, every track, and this might be one of the few times where the instrumental matches the pain and anguish Nico puts into his bars. Accurate title, yeah? You feel that shit - kind of like how DMX and others of that ilk used to throw that true life in their tracks. The mastering job Rhythm J put on this worked wonders. Not sure what The Beast has on the horizon, but hopefully he keeps this up!

This track is crazy – it definitely features a lonely Spanish guitar loop, with a bunch of grimey cats stomping the shit out of it. The track flips weird, too – goes from those guitars into some other shit, deep. Just one of those really open cuts that allows an MC to really kick their feet up and make it theirs. Heavy.
