Jay-Z and Oprah?

Word via RapRadar is that Jay-Z and Oprah have been spotted on the street. Obviously one wonders - are they filming for a Jay-themed episode of Oprah? With his confirmed status as first musical guest on Jay Leno's new show, and BP3 dropping September 11th of this year, I can only imagine that this will be the case. So many questions come up...

  • Will the entire hour be dedicated to him?
  • Will Oprah go in on Jay, like she has on the (few) Hip-Hop stars who have graced her stage prior to Jay?
  • How open with Hova been in regards to Beyonce and his personal life in general?
  • Will Bleek be allowed anywhere near the set?
OK, that last one is a joke. It's just a bigger deal than I think a lot of you would like to believe. Its not happened yet (much to the chagrin of my wife), but Oprah has her own channel coming in 2010. She's a true icon in entertainment, and to many of the older community, this will solidify Jay-Z as "that dude".

Or he's finally hit the right button to help get more units of BP3 sold. I don't know. Cipha Sounds said on Juan Epstein a while that Jay-Z doesn't do anything small - he wouldn't do anything on MTV2 because he "don't do nothing 2". You imagine there was some kind of backroom bargaining on what they'd do, how Jay-centric shit would be, and what WOULDN'T be discussed.

Who knows. Dude's been on a tear since "D.O.A." premiered, and we won't be hearing the last of duke and BP3 anytime soon. It's only the beginning of August... :shiver:.

EDIT Here's some audio of Oprah speaking to Gayle King about meeting Jay, via PDS by RapRadar. Odd hearing Gayle talking about loving his lyrics and beat. Oprah sounds smitten ROFL. Word is this is for O Magazine? Fail?
