If you're like me, Hip-Hop is more than just the Black CNN; its a place where you got introduced to sounds you may never have picked up (Jazz, Soul, Funk, Kraftwerk) outside of a Hip-Hop context. The art of sampling is something that introduced me to many worlds, and has also helped me realize how essential having a diverse catalog of music in my collection has been. To help celebrate this, DJ Matt Cali and Russell Fong have cooked up Sample Junkies, a compilation of those timeless samples that you should know instantly.
