Stop shittin' on Winston

I used to get heated in elementary school when people would talk about Ghostbusters (either the movies or the cartoons), and only speak about the 3 Caucasian 'Busters. The cartoon was the worst - they used to coon up Winston for no good reason. Now, G4 reports that there's a new Ghostbusters video game coming (no word on systems - yet), and stars Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd and Harold Ramis have all signed on to appear/write scripts for this game. Which is cool but... where's Ernie Hudson?

Please, makers of this new Ghostbusters game, don't shit on Winston Zeddemore!

BONUS FUN FACT: Arsenio Hall voiced the character of Winston in The Real Ghostbusters 1986 cartoon.

UPDATE: An Anonymous rock the dubber posted this link to a Variety article that not only states that Mr. Hudson WILL be in the game, but it also states that this new game will be cross-platform, or so it seems. Looks like the same company that brought you the recent Scarface game will be bringing this to the masses. Sue me for not reading VARIETY LOL; but thanks for the link. I am glad that they STOPPED shittin' on Winston.

Did they even ask him? Did he say no? He actually has more of a career at this point than the others so he may not want to bother? http://www.ernie-hudson.com/index2.html

Maybe you could ask him?????

Ernie Hudson is in game do more digging next time! link http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117976019.html?categoryid=1009&cs=1

Variety has more details on the recently confirmed undead Ghostbusters video game sequel, including even better news about the game's voice cast. In addition to the three original Ghostbusters—Ramis, Aykroyd and Murray—Ernie Hudson, who played Winston Zeddmore in both films, and William Atherton, famous for his role as Water Peck.

According to Variety, the Ghostbusters game is coming to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, courtesy of developer Terminal Reality, with more casual-aimed versions from Red Fly Studio coming to PlayStation 2, Wii and DS. The report has plenty of delicious details on the game's genesis and even includes a teeny, cropped screen shot.

another wrong comment

Developer Terminal Reality is making a "Ghostbusters" game for PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 aimed primarily at the core gamer demographic, while Red Fly Studios is making a version for Playstation 2, Wii and DS designed more for families and casual gamers.

thanks for that variety link. i'll admit, i went based off of the G4 & Game Informer links, which basically said the same thing, which wasn't much. The Variety article is the first I see with Ernie Hudson's name in it, and not being a normal Variety reader, I guess that was an honest mistake.

To the one who said "another wrong comment" inre: the platforms, again, the G4 story, nor the Game Informer link said anything about platform - I can again only assume you got that from the Variety article I wouldn't have seen until it was posted here.

In any case, it looks like they aren't shitting on him at all!
