Breezy LoveJoy "
Girl's Best Friend": Blasts are an odd thing these days. Most of the time, all I require is artwork, URLs and the music. When people start getting into describing what the song or an artist sounds like, it can be tricky. This blast described
Breezy as "
Digable Planets meets Mint Condition meets Van Hunt"; those are three acts that I fuck with, so hearing that mixture can be intriguing... but also too high of a bar set. Oddly enough, I don't think LoveJoy sounds like that, but this track is still dope. He describes a situation a lot of niggas have gone through - fighting the temptation of being around your chick's friends in a closed environment - and its delivered honestly. The track is very intriguing as well, with strings flowing underneath the driving pianos and that twisted synth. I want more of dude's music, now. He might not be a mixture of those three groups, but he is the first @
BreezyLoveJoy in my book. Shouts to @
ShaunRoss for this one.
This is taken from Breezy's
Violets Are Blue, which is
available on iTunes right now.
