[video] E*TRADE Baby Outtakes

One of my favorite commercials was the E*TRADE Baby. Shit just made me laugh. E*TRADE put together a bunch of outtakes that won't be seen during tomorrow's big game; some funny ish:

WhyGee "ChumpSin Pink"

WhyGee "ChumpSin Pink": Here's the title track from a forthcoming DVD that WhyGee has coming. WhyGee is one of the Colorado cats that Kid Hum has put me onto (Sunken State is another one), and he will be featured on the Offshore Drilling compilation. The homey RM threw this up on FH, and included the "ChumpSin Pink" video:

I'll do one better and flip this video of a recent WhyGee performance:

Lil' Mama "Diva"

Lil' Mama "Diva": Damn. So I got the blast for this track, and figured that Lil' Mama was going onto some instrumental murder, ala her "A Milli" freestyle, and was set to massacre Beyonce's "Diva". Nope, she's on some Electro-Pop smooth shit here. I think fans of this style or fans of her will be into this. Reminds me of something Rihanna would fuck with. What do you think?

Raekwon ft. Ghostface Killah & Crooked I "Yes Sir"

Raekwon ft. Ghostface Killah & Crooked I "Yes Sir": Here's another leftfield leak for this week, with an unbelievable line-up. Rather than try and paraphrase, I'll just hit you with the info from the press release...

On February 19th, Stenge-O-Matic of Anotha Level will be releasing a project called "The Live & Direct Show" which features none-other-than Crooked I. However, this project is more than a regular underground feature as Crooked I appears along side the Wu-Tang Clan's Raekwon and Ghostface Killah. Many Hip Hop fans would consider this to be a "dream team" collaboration... Those who are not familiar with Stenge-O-Matic's group Anotha Level may be interested to know that their first album "On Anotha Level" was executively produced by Ice Cube and sold over 250,000 records in 1994. Stenge's upcoming "Live & Direct Show" also features T.I., Glasses Malone, Akon and many more...

Shouts to Alex @ Killer Bee Promotions for this one!

50 Cent "Officer Ricky (Go Ahead Try Me)"

50 Cent "Try Me": Here's the full five-minute diss that 50 has aimed at Rick Ross and DJ Khaled. I guess when Lil' Wayne is doing Limp Bizkit-lite, and Kanye is lost in his Auto-Tune, we need some fabricated Rap beef to keep the train moving.

Wordsmith "The Rave"

Wordsmith "The Rave" (prod. by Professa): This new cut that Wordsmith passed me has a different energy to it. The way the sounds interact make this one feel very intense, and Words goes in on the flow with this one. Different styles, something you can get the party rockin' with. Not too many MCs get that hustle on like Words and Nu Revolution do, and 2009 will be no exception, with a mixtape AND album coming from Words and Chubb Rock. Keep it locked...

DJ JayCeeOh & PQ GOODY! GOODY! Mix Vol. I

DJ JayCeeOh & PQ have linked up to form GOODY! GOODY!, a collaborative dance-centric project that blends house, electro, hip hop, Baltimore club, bass, disco and more. This is the first installment of their mixtape series, and judging by their backgrounds and the tracklist, you need not sleep!

Rihanna ft. The-Dream "Hatin' On The Club"

Rihanna ft. The-Dream "Hatin' On The Club": No, Rih-Rih didn't get a skin bleachin'/haircut. That's apparently her "BFF/video vixen" friend Amber Rose, who was recently featured in Smooth. Wow. OH shit, this is a new Rihanna song. It's not really that good, TBH - it sounds like she tried to throw some old school doo-wop heartbreak into a mid-tempo club rocker, but it really just rocked me to sleep.

MP3 spotted over on OnSMASH.

The-Dream ft. Fabolous, Juelz Santana, Rick Ross & Ludacris "Rockin' That Thang (Remix)"

The-Dream ft. Rick Ross, Juelz Santana, Fabolous & Ludacris "Rockin' That Thing (Remix)": There's been a bunch of remixes out there, but because Best of Both Offices hit me with this, I'm going to say that this is the official. How Juelz can say some shit like "treat her like the First Lady, I put my Barack in her" and not feel like a complete douche is beyond me...

DJ Suss. One ft. Red Cafe, Uncle Murda & Maino "Who Shot Ya 2009"

DJ Suss. One ft. Red Cafe, Uncle Murda & Maino "Who Shot Ya 2009": I don't know why ANYONE has to touch THIS CLASSIC BIG TRACK, but I guess Brooklyn's in the house. I'm sorry, but Uncle Murda's adlibs > Red Cafe's adlibs. Maino is a beast on this one, though.

Props to Tapemasters Inc for the heads up; photo credit goes to Travis Swicegood.

Q-Tip "Renaissance Rap (Remix)"

Q-Tip ft. Busta Rhymes, Raekwon & Lil' Wayne "Renaissance Rap (Remix)": Damn, what a good week it's been for leakage. This is one of those line-ups that I didn't expect at all, and I am not mad at what any of these MCs did on the track. In fact, I'm quite happy with how this came out. Now that melody is gonna be stuck in my head all weekend.

Shouts to BGDB & PIMB for the heads up!

Termanology "Tight Pants Are For Girls"

Termanology "Tight Pants Are For Girls": While I wholeheartedly agree with his statement, I'd be lying if I said the primary reason for posting this had nothing to do with posting the above pic.

Via Nah Right.

Young Jeezy ft. Jay-Z "My President Is Black (Remix)"

Young Jeezy ft. Jay-Z "My President Is Black (Remix)" (prod. by Tha Bizness): I love that Jeezy says he'd rather watch Jimmy Kimmel rather than The O'Reilly Factor, as if that comparison makes sense. As you may have guessed it, this is the official remix, featuring the new anti-O'Reilly lyrics. That hook is great, but without the pro-Obama shit, this is essentially another dope boy anthem. LET'S GO!

Shouts to Boo Goo Doo Boom.

This is the PETA ad that you won't be seeing during Sunday's Super Bowl:

Shouts to TSS for the heads up.

B-Real "Don't Ya Dare Laugh (Remix)"

B-Real ft. Xzibit & Young De "Don't Ya Dare Laugh (Remix)": Keepin' it Cali for a minute, here's the remix to B-Real's scorcher, "Don't Ya Dare Laugh". Creasing khakis and Chuck Taylors were my shit, until I realized if I wore a certain color, I'd get popped. Now I am super nondescript in earth tones. You know how that goes.

Anyone else wishing Xzibit put out that classic we all know he has in him?

Shouts to MAC Media.

Versis "Spittin' In The Wind (Remix)"

Versis "Spittin' In The Wind (fLako Remix)": This cat is 17? And from Inglewood? I need to get out more. RM London, who recently joined the Flawless Hustle camp, threw this up, along with another joint today. If you partake in the herbals, put something in the air, throw this joint on, and meet the future of ill Hip-Hop.

DJ iLLaNoise ft. Fab 5 '09 "Go IL USA (Circa '96)"

DJ Jay iLLaNoise ft. Fab 5 '09 "Go IL USA (Circa '96)": I dropped the video for this last week, and Pugz hit me with the MP3 today. iLLaNoise's Revenge Of The Backpacks drops Feb. 2009, so keep it locked for that one!

Ernie Gaines "NO"

Ernie Gaines "NO": Going through the inbox, and I had to throw this gem up. Ernie Gates apparently had a track with T.I. entitled "Sip It", which I've never heard, but based on the future retro funk in this joint, I might have to keep my ear out for homeboy. Dude kind of reminds me of Ryan Leslie, but a bit more soul. And he represents NJ. Win-win.

Che Grand "Streets"

Che Grand "Streets" (prod. by Illmind): Che hit me with this earlier today, and I'm loving it. This will be dropping on Illmind's Blaps Rhymes & Life Volume II, which should be dropping on Friday. If you have an idea of how ill (no pun intended) this combo will be, you will definitely love this.

Raekwon ft. Ghostface Killah "Criminology 2"

Raekwon ft. Ghostface Killah "Criminology 2" [clean \ dirty]: Talk about straight out of leftfield. I wasn't expecting this one at all. And while it doesn't match the original's fury, this is nothing to sneeze at. They essentially flipped the original sample into some 2009 flavorful shit, which I'm not mad at. The original, though, is a personal favorite, so forgive me if I'm not shitting my pants in excitement.

OB4CL2 = April 7th? We'll see...

Props to Clockwork Music for the clean link; big up the Killer Bees for the dirty version. Shouts to BGDB for the heads up.

Cy Yung "Mayhem"

Cy Yung ft. Rashid Hadee & Asylum 7 "Mayhem" (prod. by J. Slikk): Here's a full preview of one of the forthcoming Tribute To Rosie Perez tracks that Slikk has been hyping me about, but finally let me drop to the world. This and "Dreamcatcher Revisited" should have you open to this project that Cy & Slikk are nuturing. The final LP will feature Rashid Hadee, The Primeridian, R.O.E., Indy Sparks, Tall Black Guy, DJ SeanDoe, J. Slikk, Pugs Atomz, Maria and more; be on the lookout for "Be Natural", which I'm told should be dropping come Spring 2009.

[video] Hexstatic's Street Fighter II HD Remix

To celebrate the launch of Street Fighter IV, the latest instalment in one of the most successful fighting game series of all time, video games giant Capcom has made available for the first time the original, fully-mastered vocal, FX and music samples taken from the cult classic Street Fighter II, enabling DJs and producers access to cut, scratch, remix and re-edit these classic parts to their hearts content.

Street Fighter IV will be in stores from Feb 20th available for PS3 & Xbox 360. Shouts to Lou for this one!

[video] Charles Hamilton vs. Serius Jones (Live at SOB's)

Shouts to Enigmatik for the heads up on this one.

Dylan Dillinjah "Keep It Mobbin'"

Dylan Dillinjah "Keep It Mobbin'" (prod. by EZLP): Did you know Dylan Dillinjah, who rose to fame from the first season of Diddy's Making The Band, was still around? Me neither. Gallic Wars and EMG have linked up to put out a deluxe edition of Dylan's Reborn project, which will be hosted by Gunz N Rosez and N.O.E., with musical arrangement by Mazi-O. This is set to drop for free.99 on Feb. 26th, so keep it locked!

Lil' Jon ft. Ice Cube & The Game "Killas"

Lil' Jon ft. Ice Cube & The Game "Killas": Pause on this track starting with the line "three hard muthafuckas". This is definitely that Rap/Rock hybrid we've been bored to death with when speculating on the release of Crunk Ain't Dead. Sounds like Limp Bizkit with better rapping, as if that wasn't easy to achieve. Check out the Bonus Beats I included for a much better track Lil' Jon is involved in...

Wale "Good Girls (AEON Remix)"

Wale "Good Girls (AEON Remix)": Recently, the homey AEON, Tanya Morgan and DJ Lowkey were all up on Subsoniq's Sirius XM show. You can listen to the show here: part 1 \ part 2. During the show, they premiered this futuristic funkorama of a remix from AEON. Expect more from the god in 2009...

Ryan Leslie "Out Of The Blue"

Ryan Leslie "Out Of The Blue": Gotta say, I'm diggin' Ryan Leslie's tracks. "Addiction" was my guilty pleasure of 2008, but the album is deeper than this. What would YOU do if your significant other left you out of the blue? Think about that while being sucked into the cool boom-bap of this one. Ryan Leslie hits stores Feb. 10th.

Hat tip to TC.

Jay-Z "Money Goes"

Jay-Z "Money Goes": Wow. Sounds like DJ Envy went in, dropping a new track from Hov. Wow. I am in love with this beat. Who did that beat?! Got some airy, heavenly feel to it. New Hov, even if it's recorded from the radio, makes my day.

Now, someone let me know if this is the confirmed title. Who did the beat? Is this from BP3?

Shouts to Lowkey and YN for throwing that link out there.

EDIT Here's an untagged/dirty version (shouts to the heads at Clockwork Music), with the track titled "When The Money Goes"; still no word on if this is new material, or leftover from the American Gangster sessions (it does have that feel to it, right?)... I need info!

Bliss FM ft. Articulate "Always Here"

Bliss FM ft. Articulate "Always Here": Oddly enough, I was listening to Artic's "B-Town" on the way to work this morning. This is taken from Bliss FM's free album, The Food, which you can grab right here.

EDIT Speaking of "B-Town", Artic just hit me with video of him performing this banger:

DJ Concept The Beautiful Fascination With 45s: Stack #1

I miss 45s. I don't have a turntable at my spot, or at all, but I have a stack of vinyl at my mom's crib that I miss. DJ Concept knows the score, and threw together this mix, the first of what I hope is many... "THIS MIX IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. I repeat…THIS MIX IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. If you are offended by the sound of dusty vinyl, stop right now. The sound quality is what you might expect from very old, neglected 45’s. Certified raw shit right here. Complete with scratches, pops, clicks and even some skips.

The story of The Beautiful Fascination:
This idea was born at a garage sale somewhere on Long Island. Hidden away in some dark corner of the garage, i found a few stacks of dusty treats. I believe I payed $5 for the whole box. The stacks have no rhyme of reason. Every so often, I will grab a new stack, hit record on the computer & see what lands on the turntable. And now….without further ado….in glorious lo-fidelity… The Beautiful Fascination
"

Enjoy.

Bob Marley Day At Blender Theater (Feb. 6th, 2009)

If you're looking for something to do to celebrate Bob Marley Day, or just need to hear that Dub and Dance Hall pressure from the likes of the might Mad Professor, 77 Klash, Macka B and others, head on over to this live event on Feb. 6th. Shouts to Alex @ Move Forward.

[video] Hussein Fatal "Blocka Blocka"

For those who didn't see this when it dropped around the end of '08, here's the new single from Outlawz member Hussein Fatal. Word is his album Born Legendary is set to drop very soon:

Shouts to SCSE Ent. for sorting me with this!

Wesley Snipes... as James Brown?

Spike Lee has the rights to a James Brown biopic, and Wesley Snipes has been cast as Brown. Now, I don't doubt Wesley's ability, I've seen Blade and White Men Can't Jump, but dog, its fucking vampires and basketball! Can Snipes truly put on for James' legacy?

Someone out there has to be as leery about this as I am...

[video] John Forte & Talib Kweli "Homecoming"

Lil' Wayne "Hot Revolver"

Lil' Wayne "Hot Revolver": I saw that a tagged version of this leaked back in November of 2008; Weezy is really on this bullshit, eh? While I can't find an official tracklist for Rebirth, I'd imagine this aural abomination will be on that project. If you're digging these tracks, you might want to have your ears (head?) examined.

8thW1 "Sound Quality Convo"

8thW1 "Sound Quality Convo" (prod. by Mentplus): Wow. I remember seeing 8th post an update on Twitter, wondering why critics feel the need to complain over the sound quality of free music... which always confused me as well. It's free, say thanks and keep it moving. I can't tell you how many hissy tapes I've collected, and cherished, because they contained some serious jams.

I am also loving that he dropped my blog in the track. You already know!

Wes Restless & Silence "Only Live Once"

Wes Restless & Silence "Only Live Once" (prod. by Wes Restless): Just off title alone, this will be my theme song in 2009 and beyond. Older I get, the smarter I get in terms of doing shit differently, or doing shit I never did before. Words to live by.

Shouts to Pugs Atomz for the heads up.

RTD Giveaway: The Secret Life Of Bees DVD

The DVD release of The Secret Life Of Bees hits stores on Feb. 3rd; I have 3 copies of this DVD to give away. Just send me an e-mail with the subject SECRET LIFE OF BEES DVD GIVEAWAY to khaldub@gmail.com by Feb. 1st. I'll pick the three winners and alert them via e-mail.

Lil' Wayne "Prom Queen"

Lil' Wayne "Prom Queen": So is The Rebirth going to be Weezy's 808's & Heartbreak, with guitars instead of 808 beats? This is pure bullshit, even for a Rock song. Why is it that Rap cats seem to listen to the WORST Rock there is out there?

Via Nah Right; as the tag says, this is a NMC exclusive.

EDIT Here's the tagless version, again from Nah Right. Had no idea that Tha Bizness produced this. With this and "My President", looks like their stock is going to rise, just of the buzz from the Internets. Tha Bizness, via Twitter, said they ain't produce "Prom Queen".

EDIT Link updated.

Chase & Status "Against All Odds (Dubstep Remix)"

Chase & Status "Against All Odds (Dubstep Remix)": I dropped the video for the original on Friday, and look what drops not too long after it. This is the B-side; Xample's DnB remix is featured on the A-side. Nice 12" for DJs looking for that upfront DnB & Dubstep pressure.
