While rock the dub is primarily a Hip-Hop blog, I have been rockin' to Drum & Bass and Jungle since 1995, and I do writing for sites like Dogs On Acid, as well as one-sheets, bios and other bits for a plethora of artists, from Perpetuum to Sol.ID. In any case, one thing I love about DnB (and music in general) is finding ill music from new producers. AK1200, who has been within the DnB scene since it's inception in the United States, is a world-renowned DJ and producer who has compiled a sick mix CD (Weapons Of Tomorrow) featuring producers drawn straight from the message boards over at DOA. This 20-track opus is chock full of intense beats and bass, and if you buy ANY DnB CD, this should be it, for it goes to show that a) you will support the new artists, and b) DnB is still a viable product.
Thing is, you now have a chance to own this jammy - for free! Moist Music has given rock the dub 4 copies of this bad boy to give away. Simple entry: shoot me an e-mail with the subject header "RTD AK1200 CD GIVEAWAY" by Feb. 29th 2008. I'll alert winners via e-mail on how to proceed next.
Do not sleep!
Shouts to Victor for the CDs.
