Every Thanksgiving / Black Friday 2016 Mixtape You Need to Hear

Last year, I was so amazed at the sheer volume of Thanksgiving and Black Friday mixtapes that I had to make a post about them. Similar to the IRL Black Friday shopping day, the deals and sales actually start earlier; this year, Gucci Mane and Boosie Badazz already had projects out on Wednesday night. Them's the breaks.

Either way, if you're done getting lit with your family, here's a look at the mixtapes and releases that dropped during our country's fattest holiday. Turn up.

Are you a big fan of Lil Uzi Vert? How about Gucci Mane? Actually, it doesn't matter; if you know kids with dreads who dab whenever they do anything, you'll be hearing the new collaborate mixtape from these two, 1017 vs. The World. Can't front; "Changed My Phone" is insane. Guess this is the best way for Gucci to celebrate dropping six projects in 2016...and his recent engagement. East Atlanta Santa coming soon as well! And don't think I missed that jungle in the intro for "Secure The Bag," either.

It looks like Boosie just said "fuck it," and decided to get the final two big holidays out the way at the #samedamntime. He keeps it street on Happy Thanksgiving & Merry Christmas, for good or ill.

No dis to anyone out there bangin' on Black Friday, but maybe you should just stay home, turn up YG's Red Friday mixtape, and play GTA V. Keep it safe.

Courtesy of Rub Radio, Rok One comes correct with a huge Thanksgiving-spirited mix, featuring material form Jay Z, OC, Janet Jackson, Take 6, Sly & The Family Stone, and many more. Full tracklist and download via Brooklyn Radio.

Did you love that NxWorries album? Then you love the music of Knxwledge. He's already dropped three other beat tapes this year, and his third, WT.PRT10_, is out and available for $8.88. Practically a steal, especially when you're getting these sick reworks of music from Danny Brown, Vince Staples, and others.

Chitown's Lil Durk returns with They Forgot, his first tape since dropping Lil Durk 2x in July. They Forgot has a number of guests, including Meek Mill, 21 Savage, BJ The Chicago Kid, and Dej Loaf, with beats from London On The Track, Young Chop, and more.
