This is a pretty wild video for those who were into Bad Boy and the whole mid-90's Hip-Hop flavor. D. Dot speaks on managing Kanye West, the creation of The Mad Rapper, including the "How To Rob" record, and some memories on touring with B.I.G.:

Juan Epstein x Big Daddy Kane
In NY tonight, Big Daddy Kane will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of Long Live The Kane, his debut album. The show will be star-studded, including guest DJs Mister Cee and Biz Markie, as well as Kane himself performing with Connie Price and the Keystones, the band he toured with on 2007's Scion Live Metro tour. Kane also said there's going to be a bunch of special guests. To commemorate this, Cipha Sounds & Peter Rosenberg have posted a new edition of Juan Epstein with BDK. I haven't listened to it yet, but I imagine it's a goldmine for those who grew up on Kane's memorable lines and classic swagger. If you aren't up on Kane, and say you are a fan of Biggie or Jay-Z, you need to fall all the way back, get some education, and then come talk to us.

Stakato Respect The Architect Volume 5
Here's the 5th and final installment of Respect The Architect for this week. Stakato put his foot in this one, some serious edit bizness here. Da Brat's subtle singing and "word ups" from her coolest single ever get a funky, up-tempo re-rub. Fans of that real Funk should know what time it is with The Meters, and that Slits track is that naughty old school zaniness. Enjoy.DOWNLOAD
Tracklist:

Joi - Lick
Peaches - Shake Yer Tits
Salsoul Orchestra and Charro - Coochi Coochi
The Meters - Just Kissed My Baby

The Equation Y=MC+P
Here's a free LP entitled Y=MC+P from a duo that goes by the name The Equation. All of the rhymes are done by UllNevaNo, with beats from Knowledge. You can definitely hear some potential in these tracks, and I can't be mad at someone who is keeping that real Hip-Hop alive. The second half, for some reason, got me open more than the first half... some really Soulful vibes in the beats, and UllNevaNo pulls no punches.

SoulStice "Crash The Party"
SoulStice "Crash The Party" (prod. by DJ Denox): Denox hit me with the "Crash The Party" single that's dropping from SoulStice very soon. It's some interesting music... here, I'll let Denox explain what the deal is with "Crash The Party":Me and SoulStice have this track we’ll release next Monday, it’s called Crash The Party. We did something that has never been done before and tried to push the limits of hip-hop & bring it to another level: we did 3 remixes of our track in 3 different languages… one in English, one in Spanish and one in Korean!
This version is mastered; once the full single is set to drop, I got you. FYI, the "Spanish Remix" features Boogat, while the "Korean Remix" features Joe Brown. Shouts to Denox for lacing me!

Whitney Houston Undefeated Cover?
Whomever OK'd this needs to be shot. For a comeback, this is the worst look I've seen in a while. Fall back, Clive Davis. Via YBF.EDIT Thanks to an anonymous commenter, and a bit of investigating based on that tip, it looks like this cover if a fake. Whitney's head has apparently been put on Naomi Campbell's body.

BGDB x RTD: Unifished Business Soundclash
Lady Saw, Serani, Mavado, Vybz Kartel & Assassin "Unfinished Business (BGDB Soundclash)": I got the idea for this one from listening to Cipha Sounds & Rosenberg in the morning on Hot 97. Ciph is a Dance Hall head, and they play a blend of Serani's "No Games" and Mavado's "So Special" that got me open. I found more cats over that riddim and figured to rock another mega mix. Kanye West Conference Call Live-Blog
The homey Enigmatik usually covers the BoBO Conference Calls, but since he will be out, I'll step in and keep you guys abreast to what Kanye West is talkin' 'bout...1:38PM: While I appreciate them being thankful for my patience, you'd think a Hip-Hop Conference Call would have some gutter hold music.
1:39PM: Did you guys peep this article on MTV? When shall BP3 drop? I'm guessing summer 2K9.
1:44PM: Finally, we're live.
1:51PM: Whoa, how come when someone says "introduce yourself", a nigga has to go into a nutty 16. Then he says, you already know, but I don't know who it is.
1:52PM: Oh, it was punk-ass Ace Hood and DJ Khaled. I'm tired of that sandnigga.
1:53PM: If Gutta's album (which drops Nov. 18th) is a classic, I will drink coffee for an entire week.
1:55PM: The last thing I need is Ace Hood's contact info.
1:58PM: It's odd to hear Khaled not yelling. I almost don't recognize his voice.
2:02PM: Hey Ace, word to the wise: if Khaled is your mouthpiece, let him answer the Q's. You sound dumb with that "um to be honest, I don't even be knowing..."
2:04PM: Kanye in 2 seconds.
2:06PM: 2 minutes later; 'Ye is "playing his joint" to some cats out in the UK. Hearing him speak is kind of like speaking to drunk bums. You want to laugh, but then you realize he is really saying some shit.
2:07PM: Yo, he just said making music was a lot better than suicide. Christ, its that real, 'Ye?!
2:09PM: Props to the "nigga perspective" comment. Thing is, no matter how Pop they become, I really don't think that 50 would rhyme on these tracks, Yeezy.
2:11PM: Kanye's album is getting pushed up; they said the 24th (a Monday)? 'Ye said it's b/c they want those Thanksgiving sales, which ain't a bad look. Drop it on Nigga Friday. Also, BoBO will be leaking "Amazing" today. And now Jay dropping in February?
2:13PM: Who else makes music saying "What Would Jeezy Do"?
Alright, so another BoBO Conference Call is a wrap; 'Ye is dropping earlier than expected, Jay is dropping in Feb. 2009. Ace Hood is

Stakato Respect The Architect Volume 2

D Julien "Treat Me Different"
D Julien "Treat Me Different" (prod. by Curious Beat): D speaks on how he's being treated different. Gotta love when a track does exactly what it says on the tin. That beat from Curious Beat is fucking ill, too.The homey was also nice enough to pass along a video of him spitting over some beats from Buzz:

Adrienne Bailon... In The Nude?
I'm assuming you guys have heard about 3LW/Cheetah Girl Adrienne Bailon's nude pics leaking on the internet. Well, semi-nude. While she has a bra on, she does do a few ass shots. Egotastic has the pics. My thing is this: one, you'd think these Disney-affiliated chicks would learn from the past chick's mistakes (although, Vanessa did end up in HSM3, so this might be calculated). 2, what's really good with just taking off her panties? Does she fuck with her bra on, ala Kim Kardashian (maybe Adrienne's boyfriend, Robert Kardashian, saw the porno Kim made and got hooked)? 3rd, yo, she's fly. I'm more of a fan of thick-ass Sabrina, but Adrienne is no slouch at all.EDIT Looks like homegirl is tryna sue the cats who stole the laptop and leaked the photos. She's also sorry for the photos leaking and fans being upset, although I imagine she's got a shitload of new fans b/c of that ass!

Master 3 "My President Is Black"
Master 3 "My President Is Black": Here's Master 3's tribute to Obama's historic win. He used some elements of Jeezy's anthem, but dug deeper into what this win truly means. smokeYYY did the cover, and I've just uploaded the lyrics. All power to the people.
