May 17th will mark the 5 year anniversary of the debut album by L.E.G.A.C.Y. "Project Mayhem". The celebration will actually begin in April and is to be known as "The Month of Mayhem". The Month of Mayhem will have a slew of unreleased songs that could've been, should've been or would've been on Project Mayhem but for whatever reason didn't make the cut. We will revisit the album that many underground fans dub as a "classic" before possibly diving into to any new L.E.G.A.C.Y. material.
The 1st unreleased song is actually the title track and was originally the 1st song on the album- "Project Mayhem" featuring Keisha Shontelle, produced by 9th Wonder and recorded somewhere between '02-'03.

M-Dot ft. Jaysaun "The Real & The Raw (Snowgoons Remix)":Here's an ill freebie from the EMS crew's M-Dot. The Snowgoons put together a banger of a remix of "The Real & The Raw" - proper Jansport jam right here. Congrats on M-Dot being nominated for the "Best Rap/Hip-Hop Act" in the Boston Phoenix Best Music Poll; hit the jump on how to vote for the god.
Thad Reid "Owww" (prod. by Don S. for Midi Boi Productions): I love the way Don S. flipped some classic club music into that beat. I'd throw a bunch of shit into here about the track, but I'd rather let Thad speak on it... "When Midi first sent me the beat for "Owww", I was kind of dumbfounded for a second because I couldn't believe he had actually sampled Blackbox. What was even funnier was that the voice from Larry Blackmon's signature "Owwwww" was actually chopped in the beat. I thought it was "cool" so I let it sit, as most artists do. Then, a couple days later, as I was going through more beats I ran across it again. This time it caught me different. The drum pattern put me in a certain kind of way and as I was writing to it I kind of got this "fun" feeling from it. I thought I would try something a little different, switch up the flow, have a little fun with it and see how it turned out. Now we have what we have. A dope song. I've personally always liked the track but was hesitant to release because I didn't know how people would receive it. Now after a little market research, I'm ready to let the world hear it. So on April 11 check out something a little different from Thad Reid, I present to you "Owww". " The DJ Booth-presented, DJ Mickey Knox-mixed Target Practice is out on April 20th!

TreeHouseClub "Patty Cake": Here's a leak from the TreeHouseClub, who is comprised of El Prez, Chris Focus & DNEZ. This is taken from REUPSpot + YNotMyDream's After This, Shutup! mixtape, which drops on April 30th, and features cats like The ILLZ, Dominique Larue, Mike Dreams and many more ill spitters. Love the West Coast 808 feel on the beat here. Something fresh to knock out the Jeep.
FinaL OutlaW ft. Niles "Rice & Beans" (prod. by Levenkhan, cuts by Chinch 33): ILL lyrical exercises from OutlaW and Niles, taken from Unstoppable Love, which is set to drop this summer. This has that mid-90's feel to it - really dope flows over a tough beat. Very New York, even though Levenkhan is from Spain and Chich 33 is German. Hip-Hop stays international.
Shouts to Naomi and Okayplayer.

Here's a lil' exclusive video, featuring Elliott Wilson and Peter Rosenberg give us some commentary during the monumental Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon match from Wrestlemania 26:
Shouts to all the Hip-Hop bloggers/DJs/MCs/producers who still fuck with professional wrestling - I won't out all of you, but I know who you are! I'd say we should all link up and nerd out over one of the bigger PPVs, but who knows if that'll ever come to pass. And big up to YN on the exclusive!
PS If you want to see more of Rosenberg's wrestling ventures as of late, hit up this post on black rasslin'.
DJ SOLO says: "This is an original song I wrote to Doctor P's "Rasputin's Gold". It's not an official collaboration, but I'm a huge fan of his music and this track inspired me to get on the microphone and give it to em raw! Now get the fuck up and DANCE!!! (if you dig this...NEW Mixtape coming soon with MORE!)"

@TanyaMorgan has a charity concert going down at the Crash Mansion in NY in conjunction with First Book, who has distributed over 65 million books to kids in thousands of communities. Gotta support that! Admission is like $10 w/ a $2 service charge, and should be a dope event. Oddly enough, I bought a deluxe copy of Don Cusack In High Fidelity today, which comes with a red Brooklynati fitted.
For more information on the First Book Charity show, hit up this Facebook page.
The Elite Assembly has been on a tear right now, and one project I've been waiting for is Mic Wilson's. On the low, he's one of the more talented MCs I've been introduced to on these here internets. I still love how I asked if he'd be down to contribute to Offshore Drilling, and within three hours he had "Never Say Never" done. That was in his PreZZure days - this is his first full project as Mic Wilson, and I'm proud to present you with Square One: My Radio. Hit the jump for the tracklist, stream and download links.
Shouts to eskay for this one; on a related note, if you haven't peeped Jorge Garcia's podcast, Geronimo Jack's Beard, hit up their blog now. They (Jorge and his girlfriend) recorded their thoughts on reading the scripts for Season 6 for the first time. Weird to hear their thoughts before shooting and such. Shouts to all the Hip-Hop bloggers who watch LOST.
As Shake reported last week, there's a new Rick Ross single dropping today.
The above was going to be my header for a live-blog that was to take place at 3:30PM. They moved the time back an hour, and I won't be around, but I just saw that OnSMASH posted Ross' new single, and figured I'd post it. Why, I don't know.

More of that remedial Rap from the Bawse. He's not a smart man.
EDIT Here's the dirty version.
BK Cyph "iQuit" (prod. by Numonics): Been waiting for this one to drop. My favorite track from @Numonics' Being Cool Doesn't Pay The Bills has been my anthem for a minute. Just had a few weeks where I've felt the exact same day, but if you see myself and @BKCyph talk on twitter, we have some mirroring aspects of our lives. This is some real-life shit right here, and I know you 9 to 5ers agree with what Cyph is saying. Damn.
Some more of that Jersey pride for a #musicmonday. Tone Liv (aka Da Mayor) comes correct with this ten-track FreEP, with production from a few RTD favorites (The Custodian of Records, Tha S Ence), and adds his signature poise and flow to the beats, seemingly effortlessly. You keep sleepin' on Jersey, but my state shits on many others. Hit the jump for the goods.
BIG S.I.N. "Exhibit NC": The homey S.I.N. HAD to tackle Jay Electronica's "Exhibit C" beat. It is amazing how a "country nigga" from North Carolina would somehow become internationally known - power of the Internets. Not sure when Intercontinental Champ drops, but be on the lookout!
previous [video] Big S.I.N. "IC Champ" / "That's Life"
Hollywood Floss "She A Dime (House of Dreams Version)" (prod. by Chris Rockaway): Here's a new track that Floss sent over earlier today. I swear, Spring time has niggas doing these tracks about ladies. I can't knock 'em - once the chill let's up and females start dressin' less, I can understand why a nigga falls in love on the busstop. Not sure when Floss is putting out his next project, but he's one to watch out for.

Add-2 "Goin' In" (prod. by Marcus Banks): Last night, ynotmydream.com got deleted by Blogger for copyright reasons. Not to take that L, Ant has sorted out ynotmydream.net, and is still planning on moving forward with his projects. 1 dropping this Wednesday. This track (and Scheme's "Broke") makes me want that tape NOW!
Stealth "Definition Of Life": Following up on "Cake Walk", Stealth brings us the 2nd leak from 2nds, which is set to drop on April 30th. Love this track a lot - he goes hard on that piano. Interesting views and bars on the definitions on a few aspects of life...
The Camp ft. Bishop Bacardi & Dre Robinson "Move" (prod. by Teddy Roxpin): Tracks like this crack me up - it's been a minute since I've heard music from The Camp, and I regularly feature Dre Rob AND Teddy Roxpin on RTD, so it feels like it was made for RTD, haha. Anyways, this is some "niggas just stepped in the place, get the fuck out my face" type appeal. More sci-fi of a sound from Roxpin than I've heard before, but it works perfect for the subject matter. Throw this one on when you wanna make it known that the big dawgs are in the venue.
This is the first leak off of Pills & Liquor, which is set to drop in June on Banga Bros. Ent.
The Strangers "Jinn And Men": If you peeped Back For Seconds by the 2 Hungry Bros.. you would've heard Khwaja Muhammad on "Top Floor". Khwaja is 1/2 of The Strangers, who just put out an album that you can grab on iTunes. "Jinn And Men" is a deep track from the album, some question yourself, introspective shit over a moody beat. One for the deep-thinkers, those who want their Hip-Hop with a lil' more than a shuck and jive.

League510 "To The Beat": If there's one thing RTD loves seeing, its niggas trying to attack shit in different ways. With their "Town Techno" sound, @League510 have a pretty ill blend of Rap and Club music going off. There's not a lot going on lyrically here, but them flowing over that synth-driven banger is enough. If I had one critique, I'd say they could've done something else with the hook. It makes sense, and yes it's catchy, but it's fucking annoying. Throw this one on at your party, though, and see the people go dumb.
Money First "Lamborghini Lifestyle" (prod. by J. Glaze): Following up the "Rap Juggernauts" video, the Money First unit smacks you right upside the face with this new track, with an anthem for the ballers out there. If you have a lambo, hit the gas and cruise off to this one; if you DON'T have a lambo, blast this one when you're on your grind, trying to get it.
Little Brother "Tigallo For Dolo" (prod. by Khrysis): This is what the fuck I'm talkin' about. Found myself crackin' The Listening back open, mainly for "For You", which also has some classic Phonte bars. Lemme say it now: Phonte rappin' > Phonte sangin'. Just sayin'. And in my humble opinion, Leftback is forgettable. If this is on your year-end lists, you failed.
Hat tip: BGDB.
The first volume of DJ Hipnotikk's Dirty South Thugstep series was so nice, he flipped it again. More of that crunked-out dubstep is here, with refixes from DJ Nappy, Chango, subPRIME and Hipnotikk himself. He also hit me off w/ 320s of some of the refixes, which are littered through the mix. Hit the jump!

Here's a new video from the CunningLynguists
Enjoy your weekend, people! Be safe.
Jackson Jones "Marvelous": The next few weeks are about to get so serious. Jackson Jones = Deal - The Villain beasting over beats from the mighty Madlib; the Jackson Jones project will drop on May 3rd, one day after the premiere of The Boondocks, Season 3, and two weeks after the release of Welcome To The Playoffs, the mixtape from DTV's crew, the Elite Assembly. DTV's flow on this one is crazy - if I had a Black Superhero cartoon on Saturday mornings, this would have to be the theme music. Or just loop shots of Jordan dunking on the Knicks at the Garden.
Yes, the next few weeks are about to be SO serious!
Bonus Beats Jackson Jones "Senora"
Rickie Jacobs ft. Artic "Mission Accomplished": I've been wondering where the homey Articulate's been - he's been cookin' up crack with Rickie Jacobs! Air Jacobs is on the way, and these two BMore beasts serve up some heat over Nas & Damian Marley's "As We Enter" instrumental. Get your Friday on!
I got a chance to peep World War Hulks #1, and it had a short comic on Deadpool's Hulk form, Hulkpool. It brought a new element into it - Hulkpool wanting to merk Deadpool, and it also brought in... drumroll please... BOB, AGENT OF A.I.M.!!! Hulked-Out Heroes #1 is set to continue Hulkpool's quest, which should be fucking retarded, and Newsarama has a six-page preview of this comic, which should be out soon.
Shouts to The Deadpool Bugle.
Dane "12 Hour Shifts" (prod. by Purple Madness): Dane's nickname is "Beautiful Monster"... now, I don't judge the way dude's look to say if a nigga is beautiful, but the "monster" part makes sense. This track is for you lot who feel like their lives are being sucked dry at a dead-end job, and wanna fuck your boss the fuck up. You can't do it, you gotta eat that bullshit, and this track is your anthem.
Shouts to GSHH.
Gripz "Primal Urge" (prod. by Anno Domini): Gripz does some of his best work w/ the homey Anno, so it's no surprise that the first leak from Poetic Literature 3 is a cut that Anno produced, playing as a description of the hunger Gripz has, and his taste for the art and fame.
Cypress Hill "Light It Up" (prod. by Pete Rock): I've been waiting for this ever since I heard Pete Rock drop this on Toca Tuesdays back in Nov. '09. Don't know what it is about that beat - it's a fucking heat rock from Pete Rock. Period. Grab this and more via Nah Right. Damn, this is gonna be on all night!
Barrington Levy ft. Snoop Dogg & Mims "Watch Dem (Murderer)": Got this blast and almost got pissed, it felt like they stapled some classic toastin' from Levy and added bars from Snoop and Mims to it, but Barrington does do a likkle bit mo on this one, although it feels like he's more featured on here than it really being his track. Not sure what this is off of, but enjoy it.
