Gerald Walker ft. Streetz 'N' Young Deuce "I Got Ya": Apparently, Walker did like 52 demos for his I Remember When This All Meant Something... project (which drops on July 16th), and this is one of them. Skraight up Midwest unity w/ Chitown's Walker linking with them Milwaukee boys. I'm a fan.

K.MC "The 1st Song"

K.MC "The 1st Song": K.MC reps Fort Worth, TX, and is looking to put out his Young, Black, and (Reck)less project soon. Definitely not the best MC I've heard out there, it's actually kind of "flow-by-numbers" shit, but you might dig this. He's another cat who considers his grind "a movement", which is cool, but that term's overused. We need new terms in 2010. We on a mission? A journey? My life is an expedition? Who knows...

Khizman "Back In The Mix" (prod. by Keelay): Here's a leftover that didn't make it to Khizman's Trophy Winner EP. Shit's ill, too - love the fuzzy bass on this one. Khiz is working on a project for the summer, The Virginian Pilot, so keep it focused for this one.

L.E.G.A.C.Y "By The Time I Get..."

L.E.G.A.C.Y. "By The Time I Get...": Latest edition of The Month Of Mayhem, with Legs going super hyphy rockstar over Public Enemy's "By The Time I Get To Arizona" instrumental. Full of venom, this freestyle from May 2005 was used as promo for Project Mayhem. Vital.

Krukid "U.G. Chillin'"

Krukid "U.G. Chillin'": A.R.M.'s Krukid goes in over one of my least-favorite Wale tracks. Watch out for A.R.M.'s Two Africans and a Jew Vol. 1, which is dropping digitally and in limited physical quantities on May 11th; if you're in Minnesota on May 30th, they're also playing at Soundset.

Everliven Sound ft. Lola Maxwell & RAtheMC "Mr. & Mrs. Right" (prod. by Mr. Joeker): Wow. Didn't know what to expect, but this smoothed out track is perfection. Love the samples and loops Joeker flipped throughout this one. Cymar is kind of poetic/poetry jam with his at times, which works well. This is another leak from Freedom of Speech: The Last Word Benders, which is out on the 10th of May.

Wes Fif "Blue & White Ignite"

Wes Fif "Blue & White Ignite" (prod. by Lex Luger): This might be the anthem that @DwightHoward might need to get him and his Orlando Magic hyped for the #NBAP10 this year. @WesFif puts on for his city with this one - I'd love to hear the Nets anthem, but hearing "Hit The Road Jack" 100x in a row can get annoying. Yeah, this is my favorite off the Sandwich Shop, and its only the 2nd leak.

Jay-Z & Ritchcraft The Big Band Blueprint

Been a minute since we first heard leaks from this, and I'm glad that Nova Scotia's own @Ritchcraft has released his The Big Band Blueprint project, mixing big band jazz w/ Jay-Z's classics: "the tape is a combination of production genius and hip-hop history, Jay-Z’ vocals float over the elegant sounds & swing of the early 1930s". Stream it below, and if you're feeling, hit up his Bandcamp for the download.

Wordsmith "Rock The Crowd" (prod. by Strada): Here's a cut from Wordsmith's Vintage Experience, which is available right now on quality digital outlets, like Amazon for example. Take It Personal #29

We've not been blessed with a new episode of Take It Personal since December 2009, and I don't know if it was my wishes, or the death of Guru, but @ElliottWilson, @danamo and @caughtintheweb linked up this weekend and dropped a new episode of T.I.P. on us:

Just when you thought it was safe, danyelliott has returned. Our first podcast of 2010. Is this a full-fledged comeback? We don’t know yet. But we did enjoy havin’ Sam back in our home and choppin’ it up on a range of topics—from Brooklyn’s Gorilla Coffee (Eureka! Monday soon come) to the sonic punch of “Thoia Thoing” to Kat Stacks. But obviously, the main reason we ended the hiatus of our popular podcast is the passing of Keith “Guru” Elam.

Random "Pain In My Heart"

Random "Pain In My Heart" (prod. by EOM): Been a bit since I've heard some new shit from "aka @MegaRan", but this cut plays upon the trials and tribs of a relationship. Or not. The collaborative efforts of RandEOM (see what they did there?) will be dropping Language Arts, and EP idea that turned into some weird full album/comic book ting. I dunno; late Summer 2010, I might could have some details. Right now? Just dope music.

Kardi "AIDS Patient": You remember Kardi, right? Here's the homey going spazzville over the "I'm Ill" instrumental. Not much more to say - if you like your rhymers putting thought into the lyrics AND the way they are spit, this prodigy might be what you're trying to fuck with. Curveball status.

DJ Cable Vs. Joker & Ginz Vs. Three 6 Mafia "Stay Fly In Purple City": Here's a blend that Cable hooked up for his Xtra Guest Mix for MistaJam. In his words, "This was originally done as a mashup for my BBC 1Xtra Guest Mix for Mistajam back in February. I figured that it worked so well, I though I'd make it into a proper blend. I've called it a quick hitter as it's only the first verse and chorus; the reason being that the rest of the acapella doesn't fit so well with the whole tune. Also, like myself, most DJs like to mix quickly, so it's always nice to have something short and sweet with a clean intro and outro.". Also looks like there's a Fuck Thugstep Vol. 2 on the way!? Win!
